Traditional Country Crafts...........!

Recommended Posts

A regular client of mine has been having problems with 4 magpies Taking the Duck eggs on her pond. I arrived with larsen trap and decoy bird (borrowed from the local game keeper) In one day i had caught all 4 birds..........which were given back to the gamekeeper to use in some of his 47 larsen traps. Got paid.............Everyone Happy.

The client was having the ridge renewed on her beautiful thatched cottage at the same time as i was there........Lovely to see these traditional crafts are still flourishing...............Thatching as well::thumbs:

a good friend of mine is a thatcher, grows all his own straw, 20 acres all cut with an old binder, i used to work on the roofs or the farm threshing and harvesting with him years ago when i was doing continental shifts at the factory (on my days off), its great to see him working, but its one hell of a messy dusty job when you have to strip the old thatch off, i used to come home black from head to foot.
