borders loch

i caught these when we were up at the borders shooting rooks this loch is on a farm woodga does the pest control on its never stocked and the wild browns give a good account of themselves

Lovely dark markings you get on they loch browns, a different fish from the river browns I get alot of, agree with WAF beats stockies anyday.

that fly rod could tell a tale or two every time rob uses it he gets a result must be the special fly he uses :whistle: at least he can catch the bloody things :11: i prefer to wander with the and have a bit of sport like that good hunting all woodga :ph34r:

for people who want to know what the fly is it is either a granpoppy nymph or a three winged gold nymph

forgot to add this pic before ,it did taste real good too so they tell me ,yep waf its a whole new ball game with the wild browns the one i caught last year here had a jaw like a ferox big kype on it they are real true wild fish cheers rob

thought so i was a keeper on thirlstane castle that kind of area,but their wasnt any fisherys there then anyway nice fish in nice surroundings makes for a good day,all the best
