lifelong cumbrian 1,829
I am interseted in a bedlington lurcher pup. I am in the process of deciding what cross to go for. It will be used for ferreting and lamping also for a daytime rabbit dog. I had a 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington about 20 yrs ago and although it was a game little dog it was a little on the small side, it was 18.5" probably small for a male. I would like a bitch pup and was hoping for it to make about 22", i am therefore thinking on the lines of a bedlington X whippet/greyhound. I would like the pup to be half bedlington (sire), i would also consider a bedlington/greyhound.I dont need a world beater just a honest, game and friendly little dog. I am taking my time to get the correct pup as it will also be a pet, we already have a border terrier. I would like to ask people with experience of these lurchers for some input please as it is a hard decision for me to make. Thank you in advance. Quote Link to post

I would go for bedi x grey if you wont a 22" dog,and it will be a world beeter in its own field you would be hard pushed to find a harder tryer. good luk! Quote Link to post
