Cliff in the paper shop used to get it in on a Wednesday and I think it was 65p. I'd pick one up on the walk to school, stop at the pub because the cleaner would have the door open into the porch where the cigarette vending machine was, packet of Rothmans, John Player or Superkings and I was set for the day. I'd read the magazine from cover to cover during Chemistry (first lesson!). I loved the adverts (yes Carl, I even remember yours!), and articles by the likes of Daergi, Phil Lloyd, Les White, Mick Travis, Terry Sercombe, Gary Hosker, et al. Then there was the ongoing fictional series about olden days 'keepering by old Whiteface, god the memories keep flooding back, halcyon days! In latter years I used to flick through it and then line the bottom of the Budgie cage with it, but he read so many articles on how to train a puppy that he was better at it than me! Shooting news , countryman’s weekly , I believe it’s now called the glovers comic Quote Link to post

The Thatcher year's in this country was a case of some had it good mostly the south and those that had it bad it was fekin bad due to the destruction of manufacturing and other industries. 3 2 Quote Link to post
