As an aside,...there is possibly no easier hybrid to produce than a Whippet, (KC or Hard-Blood) put over a Greyhound....Ive seen big heavyweight, 'Scratch Dogs' muller all sorts of critters,..it ain't unexpected,...it is, what it is..

What would the reasoning be behind creating a line of running dogs using only whippet and greyhound? What would they possess that crosses between the two breeds would not have?

I can only think of less variation in size within a litter. Presumably the ideal being bigger than a whippet but smaller than a greyhound.

I've owned one or two and they can spin over game, in double quick time...

If it's the same Carl Williams I knew in the l 80s, his dogs burned brightt for a few years then he lost interest for whatever reason.

If it's not a send up I reckon he's just trying to get his name in lights, even bad publicity is better than none as they say. Wow, a whippet cross greyhound, hardly rocket science and hard to go wrong with that cross if you want a speed machine lurcher.
