First inspection of the “Cas” bees today, they’ve been in the hive for two weeks now, they were very gentle and stopped on the comb throughout, plenty of capped brood ... couldn’t be better.

Nice set up you ( and the wife) have there  ??. I managed to pick up a swarm last week, can’t beat free bees ??

Got me wife a hive for Xmas now we have 2 hives and a nuke box ( collected a swarm today) , its way to complicated for me just hope she gets me some honey ha

We were doing the student flats yesterday and I had a callout for wasps, but told them if it’s bees they won’t be getting touched.I’ve advised the contract manager to start looking for local beekeepers just in case.

Good work you will soon have loads of hives

Only got the two and if I can start next year with one of those then I’d be a happy man. The amount of swarms I could have hived  is reaching double figures now but it gets a little expensive. Only last night I had a message asking if I could catch up two swarms very close to one another.

Good on ya mate, I do understand that sometimes there is no other option but every one saved it better for everyone in the long run.

Every 1 I do mate I say we don’t touch bees just to try and educate them but it trying to get them to understand is the worst thing.

Looking good ??, is that from the nuc ? (Obviously that’s grown in size) . I’ve just had to put a super on the Cas bees, can’t believe a swarm can fill out a brood box so quick. There are 5 frames of brood, pollen and nectar/honey and the rest drawn out and filled with honey.

No thats from the colony she got , the nuc was just drawing comb in the super then swarmed ha so she's back to square one ( and they coast me £150 !) Think the new queen has hatched so all good now
