ryedale, i liked it there, when the hares were available.

some days were hit and miss.

 

remember the cousing near cleethorpes, great big shell covered fields, ...

it pisses me off when i think its all stopped and the great days out over for ever :censored::(:(

Early day Ryedale meetings were lets say unpredictable :clapper: 2nd in slips and did nt get a run on Mick E's gallops when they used to meet Mondays

Some great days at North Lincs :thumbs: if you did nt get too the meet for 9.00am they moved across land to the running ground and you had little chance of finding them

got a few ferrets from him in the mid 90's

 

I always enjoyed flanking with rupert and my uncle colin brown

my uncle was a hare despatcher but couldnt walk 100 yrds never mind run it, it was always" get on lad "..

i was faster in wellys then trainers :D:D

June and Lionel(up to his death) ran Ryedale from day one till the ban.

Knew Colin B +Rupert,J.Leatham,L+N Hoare,J Becket,J Lloyd,Bernard Aldred and Albert Grantham running lurchers at Drax before moving into greyhound coursing :thumbs: has your uncle Colin gone to Spain? Always used to around now

Sussed you out as 1 of 2 but the beautiful bits throwing me 8)

they are a bunch of good lads and his deerhound are genuine grafters.my mate got rupert old mike when he was a pup off a lad near us and even at 11yr old the dog was still showing the greyhounds up on the hares.and here he is now 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound
