mike1458 14
Hi everyone, not to sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it. I went beating yesterday at Wiltshire college and loved every minute of it. Currently I am into my ferreting and running dogs. I do not want to rush into anything and will not buy a dog for a long time yet and will get some experience under my belt. But I was so impressed with the bushing dogs. I was loving every minute of it. Just want a bit of advice on basic things. I have heard that springers are a bit hot to handle. But are they really that bad? How about a cocker? What are they like? Not really interested in a lab or anything as I will use a spaniel for bushing only and only a little bit of retrieving. Like I said, I WILL NOT be rushing into anything and will probably wait until next season to go beating again and do the whole season as I only have caught tail end of this one. All advice is greatly received. ATB mike Quote Link to post
