Where can you buy sloe berries for Sloe Gin

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Firstly:

Where can you buy Fresh sloe berries online when they are in season?

Can you get fresh berries out of season?

Are the dried berries any good for sloe gin?

And lastly if dried are good where can I buy them?

Thanks,

1/ I think you can buy them of fleebay when in season

2/ Doubt it

3/ Never seen them

4/ Dont know

If you keep your eyes open next spring in the countryside you will see the white blossom on the (blackthorn bush I think it is) the blossom gives the game away then keep an eye on that spot and pick them fresh and freeze some if you wish for when you cant get them.

Dont forget to taste one when you have picked them, everyone does to check the taste, its memorable. :clapper:
