catfish advice how to catch please

hiya all im currently after some advice on how to catch big carp and catfish (wels) as im going fishing on a water where they are any help would be great thanks ie tactics bait and rigs

for cats depends what they allow on the water try a dead bait but dont use trebles use something like a size 2 or 1/0

alot of cats have been caught on large halibut pellets but remember their mouths are huge so dont be frightened to use big baits cats have poor eyesight so use really high oil baits that add to the attraction and they can be quite nocturnal.

as for rigs use strong abraision resistant braid the stronger the better but dont overdue the main line.

fresh raw liver or Squid if your not able to use dead or live baits mate

but if you want a chance to catch carp and cats use the halibut pellets at least 2 x 24mm on a hair

Just fish as you would for carp but use a high abrasion/coated hooklink snake bite or similar fished over a bed of pellet & boilie
