I have only ever used ferrets and used my mates lurchers so I am new to having my own lurcher.

Whatever the dog turns out like...he is a family pet and will never be passed on.

I would just like to bring out the potential in him and would like everyone's input and advice.

get the dog broke to the ferret straight away before it gets to big then get it out walking with other dogs and socialising it then if you have permission on farms start breaking it to stock and doing some basic training with it all the best mate.
