came across these little fellas

just for fun, i came across these 3 little fellas yesterday teatime on dales can you guess what they are ? lets just say the parents were not happy that i was about :D pics poor as they were taken on my phone

Look like young Lapwings...... ;)

 

 

certainly are rolfe.the parents dive bomb when your near their feldglings

:clapper: yes rod they were not happy i was there with the dive bombing they were doing, i also bumped into a family of i think were graylegged geese with a good dozen gozlings and also afew grouse but the phone isnt good anough to take pics too far away

we get plenty of lapwing here but non of the rest,certainly not grouse

Came across a nest the other day and the adult birds were giving it the broken wing to get you away from nest site,atb NID.

 

 

thought it was ONLY partridge(french)that do that?? :hmm:

lots of birds do it mate, especially the waders.

iv mainly seen sky larks doing it, but not much else

Never seen a skylark doing it mate........ Was it one of them there rare Skylark Plovers?? :D;)
