    Feel The Bern V2.0?

It's official. American socialist icon Bernie Sanders has officially declared that he's running for commander in chief in 2020. He's raised around $5.9 million from more than 220,000 donors in the first 24 hours, which has trumped even the Donald at this point. Many of those donors are set up for recurring donations that are set to net $600,000 a month. Last time around there were allegations of hamstringing as despite Bernie's popularity with the American electorate as he conceded to Hillary Clinton despiting winning many of the primaries by a large margin. Looking at Hillary's disasterous performance in 2016 it'll be interesting to see whether Sanders remains an independent candidate or goes full Democrat as the group whittles itself down to a frontrunner.

    Your Views On Lynx Reintroduction

Hello, I am a university student from Plymouth and I am conducting a research project with the aim of better understanding attitudes towards lynx in the UK, now that a reintroduction is seemingly ever more. I believe that the attitudes of deer stalkers and hunters are important and will provide a valuable contribution to the study. I also believe that it is important that your views are represented as you are a stakeholder group who may be affected by future reintroduction. If you could take the time to complete my survey I would be extremely grateful, it should take around 5 minutes. The data collected will be treated with the strictest of confidence. It may be accessed using the link below: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WCX3DLY Thank you

    Who Doesn't Wear The Poppy!?!

I'm not going to hijack the mans thread, so I'll start another and more to the point, who doesn't wear a poppy and why ? I was angered the other day when Charlene White, an ITV news reader came out with her reasoning for not wearing one, I think her reasoning was nonsense, but you decide for yourselves http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a606226/itv-news-presenter-charlene-white-reveals-why-she-wont-wear-a-poppy.html#~oUaAHyrl5oqkML I think the fact that she drew attention to the racist and sexist remarks that were aimed at her last year, she won't be wearing one again this year - attention seeking if you ask me - not that racist or sexist slander are acceptable. . I wear it whenever I am in public eye and I don't see the poppy as a symbol of charity, I see it as a symbol of respect. Respect for the lives of those who fought, lived and died, without the likes of whom we would not have life as we know it, if at all. Lest we Never, Ever forget.

    Smile, You're In Auschwitz!

So some relatively cute faced American teenager has taken a cheesy grinned shot of herself outside of the former concentration camp at Auschwitz. . Dangerous Dog??

OK, so I'm a member of this buy and sell sight and one particular post earlier today caught my attention. . Read something like - Staff free to good home need gone ASAP as it keeps going for my older dog. . Later the lady (girl) advertiser confesses that the dog has also gone for her kid brother (on more than one occasion as far as I can tell) so you got your half dozen "make sure the dog gets a loving home folk, please take to the RSPCA etc. . then I post something like "the dog has gone for another dog and a kid, he should be PTS, simple" I reiterated my point more than once. . now the going for the dog, well, that's open for debate. . But going for the kid, well, ? Shoot it. I got a couple of likes (no one actually backed me) but the amount of abuse and slander I got! Well, something else. . Kind of left me scratching my head thinking "ah"? Has the world gone mad or do I need to have a word with myself?? Honestly, what's the options for the dog? He's 17 months old. Thrown in a scrap yard, maybe. . But re homed? No chance.

    Dead Dogs Ferrets & Rabbits

What's your views on these new viruses that are killing our wild life !! We were having a chat with a few old boys who used to ferret many years ago when rabbits were in every field and our conversation turned to the lack of rabbits now Do you think there's a link between the rabbit virus the new virus that's killing dogs and this new illness / virus that's been making heathy just ferrets die ?

    Large Gun Safes.

I want to purchase a large gun safe. 20 firearm capacity minimum. I've researched several companies but have not come to a conclusion as to which manufacturer is the best. I am hoping some members could shed light on the subject by offering their own experiences, be it good or bad. I'd love to know which companies should be avoided and which ones you know to be top-notch. I've read countless reviews and every experience seems to be pot luck. Some rave while other have horrible experiences with the same company and same safe. Some arrive damaged or function poorly. Others have horrible experiences with customer service as well as warranty issues. These reviews are all over the place. I appreciate you taking the time to post. Thanks! Ernie.

    Attention Please All Bird Watchers

Sorry gents, I'm talking about the feathered variety. . Mother took a picture of the following bird earlier after it fell out the sky before getting up and flying off, strange I know. . Now, I'm pretty good with our native birds and most of the visitors and migrants too, but I'm not sure what this one is. . Apparently it was the size of a black bird. . So I was thinking it may belong to the thrush family? Apparently not. . Distinguished by the pointed black bill and the black with orang tipped feathers in the wing, been on this for a couple of weeks, someone put me out if my misery! Picture taken in Somerset.

    Jack Russell Club Scottish Region

That was a brilliant day. My friend from Longframlington was up for the weekend and her wee black dog caught a mink in front of the hounds at the side of the bridge. Dont think our anti friends enjoyed their day too much. Can you remember the one that dropped his camcorder and it broke ?. He had the hard neck to accuse me of bumping into him causing it to fall.

    Stephen Lawrence trial

When this new trial started I thought that they must be pretty sure they are gonna get a conviction. & they have. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2079782/Stephen-Lawrence-trial-Gary-Dobson-David-Norris-guilty-murder.html The OB reckon they are going to get some more convictions now... Unless these 2 lads grass I cant see it happening.
  24. Not asking anyone for abuse about this lad just your opinion True story on mon morn had to take the dog to the vets .Waiting room full in walks a man in working gear and tells the lass on the counter that he has hit a pheasant with his car and he has it in the boot could the vet look at it as it's in a bad way behind him is a big hairy farmer who just shakes his head and as he court my eye he grinned and rolled his eyes well i had to look away .My turn for the dog to see the nurse.when i come out i put the dog in the truck before i settle my bill .outside in the carpark this lad is leaning on his car and another lad is inside, on the roof is an extension ladder it looked like they where on there way to a job but are stuck here he then came inside as i was at the counter and he asked if a nurse or someone could get the bird out of the boot as he did not whant to handle i nearly offerd the services of my dog to retrieve it but i kept my mouth shut .I got the impresion that the vet staff where stalling and hoping the bird would snuff it before they got to it as i think if they had to treat it the lad would have to pay .anyway i left the vets thinking daft soft sod then since then i thought well should he be respected for his concern.my own final thoughts are that live and let live if thats what his consience told him to do then ok by me .cos you see on the news time and time again that some driver has done off from an accident after knocking somebody down even kids so i would rather have people with some sort of moral fibre even though i think some of the things they do are daft.

    Avoiding controversy

Have just read a topic about travellers and their slaves. Now,personaqlly I think there is a bit more to this story that will come out later. It certainly has nothing to do with the government trying to curry favour with the public and the Dale Farm evictions. I ama surprisedd that this topic has not been addressed on here. Are folk afraid to express their views? Or are the mods trying to avoid conflict btwn members and are censoring comment. I guess I'll find out soon. My view on the Dale farm evictions. 1. How can they be traverllers when they've been sat there for 10 yrs? 2. Why have they built chalets to live in when they can't live in "bricks and mortar" ? 3. These are irish travellers. Why aren't they heading back to Eire? 4. What culture are they trying to protect? 5. Why are Basildon council being accused of Racism? My answwers or comments to the above are. They are not travellers and bring shame on the true gypsy/romany They are deliberately trying to build their own community away from society and avoiding any form of integration with mainstream communities. They want all of the benefits of our ways but none of the responsibilities. We harp on about Poles/slovaks/Croatians etc and yet we say nothing of the Irish immigrants that have been plying their trades on the mainland for centuries. However I do not believe that their "culture" and way of life they are trying to protect is something that we should be considering. What about the culture and way of life of the residents? Isn't this a case of the minority demanding concessions at the expense of the majority? This case has been going on for 10 yrs. Potentially through three council elections. No councillor would be putting his seat at risk by not addressing the concerns of his constituents. Therefore the council is doing what the electorate have asked them to do. This means that the majority of the inhabitants in the area want the site to be removed in line with the law of this land. This is not racism this it is about a basic principle of planning law in which most of us abide by. If you do not like our laws or do not abide by them when we allow you into our country then you should consider going somewhere where you can act in a way that suits you and be damned to others.................. I suspect that you wont find anywhere. Do not complain when you have flouted the laws and have incurred the anger of others by your actions, please do not insult my intelligence by suggesting that you are being racially victimised and please do not pretend to be Christian to invoke some sympathy in good law abiding citizens. Or is this all a subject that politcally correct Britain chooses to avoid in case they are branded as racist? Non abusive comments welcome. Abusive comments considered and rejected Caravanning ning Swampy a lost soul living in a fish bowl year after year
