Have myself a second hand Hatsan Escort which I think is the as model. Havent used it much, but seemed to have a problem cycling. Had a look on youtube stripping it down etc, and found the gas 'o' ring is missing from out of the fore end cap. Could of always been like that since ive had it or.. ive bloody lost it! So need to find a supplier, who will post out to me, need a choke key for external chokes also. Appreciate any recommendations please.

Folks, I'm trying to find out a little more about a gun that belongs to a friend of mine. The makers name on it is "W.S." or "W.J Forth" i'd say circa 1920's. I can't find any information on it either in my reference books or browsing web pages. Would anyone be able to check any gun makers books they have to see if there is anything out there about the maker? It is more than likely going to be a Birmingham gun ordered in by a local ironmonger or blacksmith and they've stamped their mark on it, but it would be nice to know. Cheers, SS

Bought a Winchester SX3 on Saturday and i like it, does what it says on the tin. Thing is I'm a lefty shooter and the SX is a righty gun. The problem I'm having is that when i fire, the recoil is making me reset the safety every time, so when i go for the next shot i have to take the safety off AGAIN!. In the manual it says that to reverse the safety is a simple job, yet it doesn't tell you how to do it. I have stripped the gun right back as far as i can. I have the trigger guard out of the gun but am a bit unsure as to how you actually reverse the little safety button. Is there anyone out th

I want to get a shot gun. I don't want anything too special, was thinking of a Hatsan Escort 2+1. I just want it for corvid, pigeon squirrel control and may be the odd bit of clay. Thing is i don't want to go through with having to apply for a SGC. I contacted the FAO by Email and asked them if i could have a 2+1 put on my FAC. They said that i would have to apply for a SGC as it would be a 2+1. So what I'm thinking now, is to save me from having to fill out a SGC, is how easy would it be to apply for, and get, a gas action on my FAC?.

I know this question has probably been asked before, but I am a novice and have a lot (approx 7 years) experience with air rifles, been clay shooting a couple of times, and want an fac for a .17 hmr. My grandfather has land and I would like to shoot rabbits and the "oppurtunistic" fox although I probably won't shoot any! I would also like to do some target shooting just at cans and paper targets etc on the same land. Does this provide good reason for an fac for this gun of this calibre? It is a 45 minute drive to the land and he would give me full permission to shoot. Also, would i be allowed

I've got a second hand mossberg 500 pump action .410 in pretty good used condition. Only issue i have is roughly 1 in 3 shots wont eject the spent cartridge when pumped! Ejecting unshot cartridges is fine but i assume when fired the brass collar on a cartridge expands slightly causing a tighter fit? Anyway I believe the problem is the little barb on the bolt that grips the brass collar of the cartridge to draw it from the barrell and eject it is too weak. Possibly a spring inside the bolt? I think this is the problem because if I push on this 'barb' when pumping the gun it always ejects a
