So my 4 year old male lurcher has recently ripped a claw off out running the other week, so I gave him a some lamb ribs just now and thought while he having a crunch I will have a look at his paw and give it a spray, well he snapped at me lip turned snarling back hunched so I shouted give him a slap across the nose took bone away and done what I needed to do to his paw. He soon backed down now I got doubts with him around my kids he in the house at the moment but I think might be best outside in kennel

Having recently acquired a pup of 10 months old a little saluki collie hound 22tts and gained her trust and got her recall spot over the last number of weeks I decided to try her lamping. The first night couldn't have been better condition wise, high wind heavy cloud cover and no moon. Having tried implement some of David Sleights techniques into her training and being unsuccessful I said what the hell and took her out on her own. Kicked two squatters (bare in mind she has never seen a rabbit) out of the grass for her but she just seemed to be unaware of the rabbit and was completely oblivious

Haven't been on here in ages, just thought I'd share a few recent pictures of my pup Simba as he approaching his 1st birthday, he's all stripped out for the summer and showing my plenty of promise of what's to come this season. He's just touching on 26tts now, bigger than I expected seeing as dam and sire were 24.5 and 24tts respectively. He's had a handful of rabbits on the lamp end of season to get an idea of what the game is about and has no trouble picking them up, he's already used his size to his advantage a couple of times and keeping the freezer full too. Really happy with him so far e

Just starting to get ready for my first season with the dog and it he started crying a lot for no apparent reason which then got a lot worse very quickly. He's currently on anti inflammatories and pain killers (prescribed by vet) and just waiting to see how if his condition changes this week. If not it's €500 for a CAT scan at a specialist to see what it is. Vet says it's either a muscular injury or a hernia (somewhere in his neck). The other day he and the whippet decided to running jump off a 3m wall for some reason which may or may not be related (was fine for a few days after).

Hi guys So I've got a lurcher, loki (lives up to his name) lovely boy gentle nature. Softie and is so gentle with other animals great with rats kittens the lot I just cannot fault him. Loki is 3 years old this April 6th. So when I got loki he was a pup, 8 weeks. He was socialised with young and adult dogs from a young age and gradually left for short to longer periods of times with toys and other entertainment ext. All done properly. Also when left as a young pup he was at work with me in a crated area in plain site of other dogs too so he wasn't on his own as such. He w
