  4. Hi all I am a new member to this site and hope I’m doing it right. Apologies if I come across as an ameteur, I am, so any advice is much appreciated. I will try my best to provide the correct information required to get the best response. I have a Lurcher, just over a year old, she is a whippet English bull terrier x collie greyhound. She is a brilliant pup, well behaved, good recall, most of the time and has serious prey drive despite her size. She chases everything that moves out on daytime walks, deer, rabbits, squirrels, hares, you name it she’s on it. Despite her desire to chase sh

  7. So my male lurcher is just over a year old now. I want to get him in to running/hurdle racing and coursing but we are both new to this. Just some tips and advice would be much apreciated for example are there any particular exercises/training? Diet? He's on raw meat and loves it! We walk and he runs around for over 2 hours a day but is there anything in particular to prepare him for racing/coursing? Also I know for the showing side I've been told that keeping them as entire males is the way forward but what about racing/ coursing? So many people have told me to castr
  8. Hi I am after a bull whippet greyhound around June July time just wondering if anyone has any pups on the way thanks.
  9. Hi, I’m a new member on this and I have created this to ask who is the best breeder for saluki working lines. Is it John lennon? I have had Salukis in the past from khan jihad and dessert fox lines and I’m looking for another saluki now that would be top for hare coursing. I have heard John lennon Breeds the best working Salukis. Is that true? If so, is there anyone else who has better working Salukis or not? I have been looking on preloved and Pets4Homes but haven’t found a good one.
  10. What’s you lads opinion on the best all rounder? A dog you’d expect to take all pre ban quarry. Put meat in the freezer and give the local fox population some problems. The best dog I’ve personally seen is my mates bitch, she’s saluki greyhound x deerhound greyhound, I’ve seen her take everything. Basically if you could only have one dog at your side, what would it be? Cheers lads

  12. I have a 10 month old lurcher she had a displaced fracture on her rear leg from falling into a rabbit hole while running the vet put wire round her bone it’s now been 6 weeks since that and you can even tell she broke it just wondering if anyone has ever run there dog after and will she be able to come out lamping with me in the future any help appreciated

  22. Iv just started to do a bit of running on a night so far only 2 miles all roadwork and iv been taking dogs with me and I was wondering if when I start to go further if this would have a bad effect on my dogs paws/joints/tendons etc. or would it possibly help strengthen them? Before the dogs never really went on roads at all their execrise was running around the smallholding, following me on the horse, walks through local fields chasing a ball and lamping and this gets them fit enough for what I want
