As you may of seen from my previous posts I'm looking for someone to assist in ferreting in South Somerset. Its all thick hedgerow stuff and can be quite strenuous (so you can save a fortune on that gym membership that you've never used). Having got into ferreting by myself when I was a kid I know how frustrating it can be to learn without help from others as you make a lot of mistakes along the way. Mind you I'm still learning loads and still making mistakes! So if anyone who possibly is into other field sports who would fancy a crack at this in this area then give us a pm. Would pref

Copy from ferreting reports: Hi folks Haven't been out since before Christmas, my usual ferreting companion has got shift work and other commitments so today I took my 4 yr old lad who has been before and enjoys a couple of hours but that's about his limit at the moment especially with the drop in temperature. Anyway we did four very small hedgerow buries which I've done plenty of times before so wasn't expecting much but did them anyway as I know I can keep an eye on my lad. Nearing two hours he was getting fed-up so called it a day and went home to clean the ferrets out. Bump

I don't keep Ferrets or much equipment anymore but got some new Permission that could be used for Ferreting and by the time I bring some kits on the season will be over so thought I'd offer to take someone out. Used to ferret a lot years ago, so could help a young'un starting out if they've got the kit (I've still got a locator and collar somewhere) or if your experienced and just fancy ferreting somewhere new perhaps? Almost all the land is overlooked by the farmers/owners so well trained and stock broken dogs are welcome but if they muck about they'll be sent back to the car! -

Syndicate membership available for 2 guns in our Rough / Walked up shoot near Llanrwst, North Wales. Shooting every saturday in season, pheasant and partridge. Must have insurance, working dogs would be a definite bonus ! We are a small, friendly and informal syndicate. New / inexperienced guns welcome. -
I fancy doing some lamping this weekend if anyone wants to join me, just using air rifle though. The person i usually take can't come and it gets lonely alone so if anyone wants to tag along send me a PM. It's in Hebburn and i'd prefer a local lad it isnt that good of a permission so it isnt worth traveling for ages for. It's around 11 acres and has a fair amount of rabbits on it.
