  10. Had a very relaxing day at Dessie Mackins 2nd Dog Show of the year which took place on Saturday 4th May 13 at Gilford, Co Down.. Although the crowd could of been bigger, the craic and the banter was good with like minded people, all there with their families and friends. . The weather was kind for a change, and brought the Canine world and their young folk out for a day of fun and frolics at Dessies Dog Show and Raceday. The show started at 12.15 noon, with the Racing first on the list. Dessie called the heats out in succession, no time delay, and all went completely without a hitch.
  11. This post has nothing to do with the NILRC this is a personal post I have asked to put up on behalf of my brother. You come on this forum and you bully and banter people who run or attend shows. You cry about plastic bags and any trivial wee thing you can think of. You say you are hunting men only well let's see if you can back up your mouth. I am offering you a challenge to run your dog against mine in the field for £500. Only 1 condition..the winnings go to the children's baby unit Antrim. Look forward to hearing from you. Nigel Greer

  15. While I love a challenge and seeing someone taking it up and on several occasions I have taken challenges up that I probably should not have, I feel the amount of money involved and the dispute over how it is to be run could probably sour relations in the lurcher world. Plus it is obvious that the concept has caught the imagination of many on this forum and many people including me would like to see it. As I have said elsewhere we took a similar gundog challenge and turned it in to a fun event watched by hundreds of people at Shanes Castle and it ultimately formed the basis for our major
  16. hope from now on that any show that is run under the rules of the NILRC that the committee members running the shows racing on the day will not be running there dogs on the day as had happened at the last show. if they keep doing this why not let the folk who run the show and the dog judges put there dogs in as well? this needs to be fair for everybody and the committee should do this as from there show this sunday. hope they get a good turn out for a good cause. DANNY
