  1. Daystate Airwolf MCT (info screen) .177 View Advert SOLD 2013 model (serial number MCT 4694) with an ambi' walnut stock, fitted with a Hugget mod' and shroud (the original Daystate mod' and shroud is also included). Complete with magazine, single shot tray, charger, key and filling adapter. This was serviced at the factory in August 2017 at a cost of £246 (I have the receipt) which included a new battery. The manual for this rifle can be freely downloaded from the Daystate website, I will make a copy anyway. Collection only or I can meet up to a h
  2. I am going to add my twopence to this. I was searching for a scope and found one on their site that was quite competively priced at £150 so I called them to ask if they could do any discount or throw in some mounts or even let me have free postage. I was told by the assistant that he wasn't able to do anything without speaking to the manager and the manager would call me back later. One hour later I got the phone call from Chris who asked me to confirm what model I was interested in and when I told him I was informed that the website hadn't been updated for a while and I could have the
  3. If you want to get the weight down you could get an A&M cylinder for it.
  4. It depends on whether you're a hunter or a club shooter. I'm a club shooter and prefer the full length for the extra shots. If you're out in the field with it, the shorter barrel and less weight makes the carbine more attractive in my humble opinion.
  5. Hello, Are you going to be buying new or used? If new and you are anywhere near Manchester at any time soon Branthwaite's are selling them for £725. I've just bought one to replace my 10 year old one (I haven't had a new gun since Christmas1978 and I decided at that price it was time to treat myself) and found them a pleasure to deal with. I have opted for the full length model in .177 with a thumbhole stock (I'm a lefty so can't use the Sporter stock as they're only available in right handed mode and the pistol grip is dedicated for right handed people so it's more than just the cheek
  6. I have managed to get 300mg of Molykote 111 so im sorted. Thanks for your help.
  7. Can anyone tell me where to buy "Pure Silicone Grease" from at a reasonable price please? I can find it in 100gm pots for about £6 but iI'm thinkingthat if I buy larger amounts the price will come down. The only thing I have seen in 500gms is "silicone grease" without the word pure on the label. Would this be suitable for O rings on a pcp? Thanks, Gary.
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I have had a good look around the forum and even made a couple of contributions. I look forward to debating things with you all in the very near future. Regards, Gary.
  9. I was only speaking to him last month. I hope has a very speedy recovery.
  10. I have a full length .177 and get easily get 7 mag's out of it. The regulator is set quite low (85bar) and the gun is set up at 11ft/lbs which may explain the difference between mine and others. I too have recently gone for an A&M cylinder for weight saving purposes but my shot count hasn't increased.
  11. I'm new on here so I hope I'm not ruffling any feathers with my thoughts. The trigger is in my opinion a lot better on the HW100 (you can buy spring washer for pennies to improve the AA trigger) and it does feel like it has been well engineered. The loading system is better on the Weirhauch with it having a metal magazine and a system to stop you double loading it. Having said that, my daughter's S510 shoots just as accurately as my HW100 and even though it's not regulated the power curve is very small. The 510 has shrouded barrel which also acts as a silencer, keeping the length down an
  12. When new, there can be a bit of grease applied around the hammer valve and this can make the gun weaker in the cold weather. As the grease gradually disperses over time the gun's power can increase so keep an eye on it. If this is the case you can send it back to Hull Cartridge and they will sort it for you.
  13. Hello, I've been shooting air rifles only, on and off since the seventies. I no longer hunt but enjoy plinking down at the club's range and am going to have a bash at hft next year. I like to learn how the mechanics of air rifles work so I'm a bit too keen on pulling them apart ( I usually can get them back together). I have a HW100 and my daughter has an AA S510 both in .177. I look forward to sharing my little bit of experience with you and hope that when I come unstuck with a load of bits on the table that i can't fathom where they all go, someone can help me out too. Regards, Gar
