Somebody must know where this dog is.
  11. Could this be him? A lot of "missing" dogs have ended up in this area of late... http://www.doglost.co.uk/poster.php?dogId=37943

  13. A breed like the otterhound, which doesn't have a proper job anymore, is large, smelly and can't be carried about in a Prada handbag, so is unlikely to even be recognised by the sector of the dog-buying public that wants a chihuahua; nor are you likely to get very far using it to try and rob an off-licence, so that's another sector gone. If there is a core of the breed remaining, it can be brought back, but what, realistically, for? The KC is only concerned with pedigrees and showing dogs and the income from registration which in the public's eyes is a guarantee of quality and thus hel
  14. Not sure your mate can just do that... it's not his dog. He can't just take it upon himself to give it to someone else. If he phones the dog warden for your area and reports it as a stray, they will either just give it back to the owner with a warning to look after it better (if that - they often have to return dogs to people they would rather not), or if the owner doesn't claim it, it'll end up in a pound with all the risks that entails. He can report it to one of the welfare organisations but they won't be much help either I doubt, even if your mate wanted to get involved with them. Whic
  15. I can't remember what year it was Lord Orford started to put the bull in, but this is dated 1882, so could it be the same Lord Stradbroke who has a dog ("Mouche") in the pedigree posted above? It says: "Henham, October 27 1882 Sir, I am exceeding sorry to hear that one of my greyhounds killed a sheep belonging to you this day. If you will tell me the value of the sheep, I shall be very ready to pay it, and I am: Yours etc Stradbroke" Oops.
  16. Hmm.... along with somebody wanting to breed merle to merle in collies, and somebody else who says that two Jack Russells make a great Christmas present. Er, no. And no.
  17. It's awful. Somebody out there must know who's doing it.
  18. Bumping again. This dog has three different types of Identification on him, picked up by "opportunists" or not - how long does it take to make a phone call or pop into a vet?
  19. Shared on Facebook all possible ways and forum cross-posted. There seems to be a lot going missing from that part of the country. Somebody must know who is taking them.
