    Taking the Mrs' old man out on the pigeons with decoys tomorrow. First time we'll of been out together. Don't know how to approach it... I don't really like shooting in partners, I like to be on my own. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to how I like things set up, especially when it comes to being in the fields, but don't really want to be telling him what to do. We'll be decoying the birds to a sh*t heap in a stubble field I've noticed gets quite a bit of attention late afternoon. I know the location is good for double figures if I was on my own. I don't really know what this post is about. D

    Went up the field last night to bash the paper as per, Ive actually swopped some scopes over from the 97 and the PS. Pigeon pitched into a tree 67 yards away. While I was shooting my targets... I thought, why not, Ill miss anyway. Crono'd my PS the night before as its now doing 10.5 or around 751 FPS, it must of fully bedded in. So 10.5 went into Chairgun on my phone, with all the other data, with mr pigeon nibberling his berries in the tree feeling in no danger. Just over 2 mil dots of hold over...     Good shop. I know it bloody well. Imagine that, your there when I go over I say good shop, I think the customer service is superb, but I have to say there knowledge lies a lot more in the full bore and bullet side of things, when you ask any of the brothers about the air rifles, they almost done seem to know the finer details.

    Some may disagree but I'd opt for the v-Mach with HW's. What made you choose TbT for it? I do have one for my PS, but found that the internals of the AA springers are better from new, so literally only use the guide. My thinking was to replace the intire lot for the v-made spring/sleeve etc for my 97. I don't know if the TbT kit is as good as the vmachs for HW

    Yes. About time we saw a 410SL in these forums. There so f'kin smart. I'm guessing the only reason you 'only' got one is due to that muzzle crack AA are known for. Get the AA mod up front and you'll have a bag filler indeed. Nice one.

    Is it stainless? You may have said but is it not twangy? My own was out the box, but it's the best rifle I have and have owned now. Just wish I had the standard action colour.

    I'd second v'mans post above. I don't really think it's the best calibre, but it's the best to learn with. Both will be fine for your intended quarry.

    Welcome. Get a HW or an AA. Simplest post you get back. At the end of the day, buy cheap and you'll out grow it quickly. All the best with choice.
