  1. Thanks fellas. That looks mint mac. I think that could be the stuff im looking for??
  2. I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it so.....I'm looking to cammo the moderator on my new hw, For a bit of protection and for cammo purposes when hunting. I've seen tape, sleeves, and tape that's none sticky but sticks to its self. I'm sure some of these will retain moisture and the last thing I want is a rusty mod. What do you guys recommend just for the silencer? Many thanks lads. Matt
  3. OK pal, I will get leading her up tonight.
  4. Cheers Mark. I will give that a go. After putting the scope on and cleaning the barrel through i then put 20 pellets through to get started then went onto zeroing it. 6 shots and it was on the money with jsb exacts in 4.52
  5. Nice shooting on those woodies pal. They are my favourite quarry species for hunting.
  6. Its been like that here so i know what you mean. You try to be quiet but still sound like the Yeti bounding towards them!
  7. Yes there is a good difference in weight and i have to say how quiet the hw is compared to the s410
  8. Thanks for that fellas. I did inagine it would be fairly spot on out of the box but being new to weirauch a pro opinion is good. Regarding AA rifles, ive never had any issues but it just doesnt feel quite as solid as the 100.
  9. It's quite a while since I've been on due to work....tonnes of it actually, so I've not been out hunting much but over the last couple of weeks I've managed to get out in the evenings a bit. You know when your happy with your rifle (mine being AA S410F classic in .177) but something is just niggling at you for a change....well I had that niggle so I have gone from my trusty AA to a Weirauch hw100 th in .177. To be honest I have literally just walked in from doing said deed and haven't even fitted the scope. I'm sure there are a lot of different opinions on the hw but it feels great and hope
  10. Ive had a few pcp's but i keep going back to AA. I have an s410f classic at the moment and although im not saying its the best pcp out there, its a bloomin close one. With jsb exacts its pellet on pellet. If i had to add a springer and i had a few quid to spend then it would be a pro sport in .177
  11. Perhaps a night time trip with a .223 centre fire might help cure reynard of his coney addiction
  12. With my .177 its a 27 yard zero so its either spot on cross hairs or holdover if its closer or further away. Just got to know you milldots.
  13. Its very similar to my missus when i try to sneak in late after a shooting session!
  14. Pot roast bunnies or off to the butchers shop?
  15. Nice shooting and what a bl#@dy lovely looking rifle pal!
  16. I did a similar thing the other week with rabbit and woodies and a bit if venison haunch i was given and it was bland. I have since learned to swap the water for a good chicken or veg stock....much tastier!!
  17. As random said but just to chuck another into the mix you wouldnt do any harm trying the air arms s410 tdr. My pal has one and its nice and light.
  18. Wild mushrooms, onion, carrot and a splash of red and your laughing with that tasty bag mate!
  19. Thats well worth driving out in the snow for pal. Well done
  20. It was a big enough jump for me to go from springers to pcp's and there isnt a hope in hell of me even picking up an electronic rifle! Im sure it has its place on the shooting scene but its not for me...too much to go wrong. I remember my old fella buying a 12 year old vauxhaul carlton.....none of the electric windows, mirrors, heated seats height adjustment etc worked for more than 5 minutes. Not the best example i know but you know where im going with it.
  21. Nice shooting mate. Something very very satisfying about dropping woodies....apart from the fact they taste sooooo good!!
  22. Cheers fellas. It would have been a good maggie day but with the wind it made normally easy shots way too easy to just wound so im praying for calm cold weather now
