  1. Funny you should say that. I borrowed an f1 today looking forward to some testing after work.....got in....set a rest and backstop....charged the rifle ....filled the mag...opened up the bag with the chrony only to find no wires in the bag so that was the end of that!!
  2. Yes it seemed like a big poi difference but i checked and checked. It may seem like a faf but for the sake of washing them in soapy water for 5 mins and a good hair dry its not too bad. I know its not for everyone but if im getting good results doing one thing then its got to worth doing pal. The gap in fps may open up with 50 or so shots through the chrony but a 5fps difference isnt bad at all over 14. Sometimes i think i should just experiment less and just shoot more
  3. I cant get my phone to create the link but go on you tube and type "washing and lubing airgun pellets" and its on their channel pal?
  4. The R10 seems to be suiting you pal. Still got a 100% kill rate too!! That stock looks better every time i see it mate?
  5. Warm soapy liquid, same as davyt on verminhunters on youtube. I don't get the cleaning improving things much, if at all, I'm wondering if the soap acts as a lubricant, I'm wondering if the same could be achieved with the likes of lube, or simply a bit of detergent. I'll get the full lowdown on the process from davy next time I see him. Have you checked the energy before and after yet? Cheers Yes. Its still a relatively new rifle with less than 1000 pellets through it yet but before, the chrony read from 769 to 781 over 14 shots and after washing but no lube it read 780
  6. How did you wash them? Warm soapy liquid, same as davyt on verminhunters on youtube.
  7. I bought the NS50 off gunstar for £200 last November but i think an extra illuminator is essential and you can pick a tracer 400 up new for £60.From memory the viper is more like £400 new so its swings and rounabouts really pal
  8. Very nice pal, two out of two is a good score in my book. She looks good with the bipod on mate.
  9. Yes a bit, even though its the slimmed down version, hence why most of my shooting with it will be a sit and wait for the bunnies to come from the warrens rather than carrying it.It was an impulse purchase to be honest pal, because as the evenings start getting lighter, it wont get much use till autumn again.
  10. Its a nice bit of kit. Its only the 50 so really a tracer ir 400 seperate illuminator would help for spotting but battery life is good, image quality and clarity are great and now im comfortable with it i will be using it more pal. My mate has the viper and swears by it.
  11. Well having finally got used to range estimation with the Nite site and what was seemingly a calm night i had a wander round the top field on my local farm perm. On arrival its WAY more exposed than my back garden and properly blustery but no worries, i wanted to give it a go anyway. No 50 plus yarders tonight, just a bit of sensible downwind approaches and took these three from between 32 and 40 yards.
  12. Looks the dogs pal. Lovely bit of chequering on it too.
  13. plus rats and grey squirrels. As above. And i have one perm where the rabbits are such a problem that i dont give them any leeway either (golf course).
  14. Im with you on that one pal. Having it checked later on.
  15. My pal is shooting one and is getting really good results on the range with it. Hes not had her out hunting yet due to the weather but looking at the groups, he shouldnt have any problems.
  16. the jsb exacts were 4.52 as my hw likes them, I've not tried 4.53 in it.
  17. I saw a clip on you tube of washing them and adding a quick spray of pellet lube too. I didn't add the lube or clean the barrel and still got what I consider impressive results. It might not work for everyone and some might not believe in doing it but as far as tightening the group and flattening the flight path, it's worked for me.
  18. Well I never tried it before but it made an immediate difference to the poi so I could be converted!
  19. Now I'm not one of those fellas that cleans his barrel through very often at all and I don't intend to start now but........I decided I would wash my already open tin of jsb exacts to see what kind of difference it made to trajectory/accuracy etc as I have never cleaned pellets or barrel. I am amazed at the results too. I don't have any pics but I was shooting rested from the kitchen window at an ivy leaf on a tree trunk at the bottom of the garden at 33 yards. Before washing, I was hitting the leaf no problem with a 5p group....no surprise there from the hw but after washing, the point of
  20. Yes its better stick at it.There was a feral as well but it flapped into a load of really wet cow shit so it was disposed of via a stick....just a brown mess and not very photogenic hahaha
  21. Well is started off fine and dry so i geared up and went to my closest farm perm where the bunnies are plenty. The second i parked up it started drizzling....by the time i had the magazine in the hw100 it was well and truly pi#*ing down so i dashed into the milking parlour and set set up a magpie decoy over by the silage. It didnt take long before a bandit came down to inspect it and as he fell off the roof, courtesy of a jsb exact to the napper the crows kicked off a big fuss and one landed just long enough for him to join his black and white pal. Not quite the session i had planned but an
  22. Personally, out of the 2 you mentioned it would be the ultra hands down but a hw100 would be my first choice at the moment. Depending on when his birthday is, the new hw110 is coming out and is less money than its big sister.
