  1. Which ever Estate or guide you choose will most likely want you to have a go at a target so you get a feel for the rifle, and give you an idea of where to aim and what to expect. Take the day for what it is, irrelevant if you shoot something that's a bonus.
  2. £1 per 1lb is about average.£30 a carcass is about right.

  11. That's what I'm hoping for too mate.Shes done fantastic considering it's her first litter, and while I'm trying to clean and top up the bedding, in her main area away from the kits, Im coming off worse every time lol I hope the my misses doesn't get like this or I'm really f****d.
  12. So my Jill has had her first litter. The're 5 weeks old and she has turned into a horrible nasty little bitch.I can just about manage to feed her but she will draw blood. Last week she really had me and blood was poring from my hand. I'm hoping it's just because she has young, and wont stay like this, she was really tame and was working and showing real promise.
  13. How big is your Teckel? Mine is roughly 10kg ish and the xs fits him perfectly.
  14. North Wales dont allow fox to be shot with the hmr, although if its an open cert, is there really an issue.
  15. The 270 is an awesome caliber, the only downside is the range of ammunition is somewhat limited, compared with whats available for the 308. Having said that, 130 & 150 gr bullets do less damage on meat than my 243. Although I have shot a few deer with my 270, Roe, Red and Fallow, I've only ever shot 1 boar, on a trip abroad, which also doped on the spot no problem. Of the boar shot, I think 6 in total, 4 were with a 308, and all took 2 shots, purely coincidence I know, but i'm just saying. I've also seen the humble 270 used in Africa on most plains game, with no problem, from Blue and B
  16. I use mine for stalking. He's by far the most affectionate and closest dog I've ever owned. He's two but still very much a pup, and will point/indicate un shot and will track a blood scent over 24hrs. One he gets a taste of deer he turns into this crazed little fecker, although around the house and fields his recall is coming along, I would imagine he'd take the leg a fek off given half the chance.
  17. http://www.foxons.com/ These do repairs for Sage I believe, but could probably help.
  18. Funky Fly tying or Cookshill have some real good quality fly tying stuff, good decent bags of both bronze and cdc. Although I do keep my cul de canard and bronze mallard from all the ducks I shoot, to be honest you'r probably better off buying in bulk rather than trying to get the odd few feathers off people. If your lucky you might get 6 nice feathers of bronze mallard and maybe a dozen cdc's. Hares masks are cheap at about £4 each.
  19. There used to be a woman on the Stalking Directory who made these sacks @ £50 each from canvas, and I had one. Very good it was too. I've since bought one from Phill Ogden, who makes these here in the UK,I bought mine From Monarch Country Products,it came with a free mora clipper. I've had roe, muntjac, fallow, and sika in mine, along with a very excited 6 yr old nephew. It has a removable liner for ease of cleaning, the bag with adj sits high on you're back making it easier to carry over a longer distance. I think their very well made and I think around the £100 bracket. http://www.monarchc
