  4. Pup looks cracking mate, don't know if it's just me but don't seem to see many about now. All the best with it pal.
  5. Cheers everyone, nice to see friendly people on a forum for a change. And I'm from rosso @the gaffer.
  6. Gunna have to give that rabbit thing a try my self. Cheers for that.
  7. That does help, I normally take my dog out with my pals patterdale and she does copy him. Just that odd time when she does a runner, hopefully with more training and will power she will grow out of it.
  8. I have exact same trouble with my basset x cavalier, she bolted off the other day and found her in a field chasing pheasants that were just taking off and flying low. Funniest thing I've seen watching her trying to catch something that wasn't even on the ground! Tips would help me also. Got told by a friend to hide from her while she was close by on walks, makes her panic and seems to appreciate seeing me more, I found it makes her stay closer to me but sometimes she does just bigger off if she gets distracted by something.
  9. Hi all. First of all I want to say that I am completely new to this whole scene so please excuse any daft questions. I have a friend who is big into it and it has rubbed off on me, defiantly want to get into the sports seriously. always preferred to be outside doing something different, im fascinated by coursing, lamping, ferreting and anything with dogs. I'm massive in to fishing, especially carping. my dog is a young cavalier cross basset hound bitch. She is learning well but can still be quite disobedient. she loves to chase anything that moves, looking at getting a nice whippet come the n
