I use beta greyhound but as part of their diet as they are only part greyhound and mix with other working dog foods and cooked meats

Take your dog to a place with plenty of rabbits and even better with a mate who has a good working dog and it will soon catch on . Then the more you work it the better it will be . Make sure you train the dog to come back when you call it other wise you will be out longer then you wanted.

My lurcher bitch had a tick in her ear last september and only noticed when she caught it on my hand as she yelped. It was quite large but have lost my tick extractor from the vet but used my old way passed to me by an old fellow ferreter in the 70s use fairy liquid neat on to the tick leave it for 5 minutes and gently pull it off with tweezers as it looses its grip. They come off complete and quite easy

Hi im new to forums and im in my early fifties and have been hunting with dogs ferrets and guns for over 40 years and would like to join in the debates and forums. At the moment i have 4 lurchers and a patterdale and working them is my hobby or as the wife says my life .
