  1. Or get a mini mix of 4 cube ! It's not really cost effective to mix anything more than a cubic metre by hand, I have costed it both ways thousands of times, it's my job, ready mix all day long, depends on your area what they charge, expect anything from £70 a cube to £120. 4 inch (100mm) is enough for a double garage, PROVIDING the sub base is sound, and well compacted on good solid up disturbed ground, no made up ground, bust be a good bearing strata 100mm hardcore and 100mm Connie, job done, I love garage bases, knock them out every day. If you decide to mix by hand you must remember,
  2. How much, which model, condition ?

    Meat Birds

Cobbs or hubbards, I have 50 at the mo, I get them about every 5 months or so, dirt cheap, and they are very entertaining when free ranged, s and t poultry, excellent birds and service from Steve and tina
  5. Best thread on here at the mo, thanks for the write up And info, really got the taste buds going for another springer now, and the info on your place, sounds idyllic.
  6. The newer mags sometimes need the indexing lever filling down, my r10 mags won't work in the mk2 superten, yet they work OK in the mk3 ! I would also chrono it and check the power, as it sounds like something ain't quite right anyhow, could be the reg needs a service if it was left empty for any length of time.
  7. Good read that, thanks for sharing. What rifle is that your using ? People think I am mad as I often sit out at my pens as dawn is breaking listening to the world come to life, glad I am not on my own.
  8. Cheers Stevo, I am willing to try anything to get these hatch rates up
  9. Only very briefly to transfer the chicks, and briefly to top water levels up for humidity, thinking about getting a humidity pump for it. I transferred the next hatch tonight, have been spraying the eggs now, see what if any difference it makes. I have tweaked the temperature, humidity and turning settings, I remembered years ago when I had an issue an old guy said to me, the perfect setting is the one that gives results, it's trial and error, so I am tweaking them around every week now and see what works, done it by the book and not good, now for old timer methods !
  10. I done several types of flat roofing, and personally, if it was my roof, I would steer away from fibre, expensive materials, and can be a bitch to lay unless conditions are perfect (from a man that has built boats from scratch), and not as long lasting as I would like for the cost. Given the choice, I would go rubberoid personally.
  11. Thanks, he has a lot of distinctly 'average' ones, and a lot I think are crap, but he has one or two that i really like and look well done. I agree with the posts, and I also don't think they are worth much to me. Thanks for the opinions guys.
  12. Done, and also forwarded to a few I know that will sign
  13. Fan, brinesea ova easy 380. Not massively impressed on the first hatch if I am honest, the hatching was spread out well over 29 hrs minimum, I lost a lot of perfectly formed chicks, the last 7 to hatch only 1 survived. I need to tweak and fine tune the settings slightly, out of 20 fertile eggs, 11 chicks ain't no where near good enough. This weeks hatch was purely just rabble eggs, nothing too fancy went in, but I have some expensive and sought after eggs to hatch soon, so I want this machine on song.

    Bin Men

My bin men are superb, a couple even knock the door if I forget to put bins out, and one lad always puts the bins back behind my gate off the roadside after one bin got smashed up, they take everything, and I mean everything, I can't even say what goes in some days ! Always put their hand up if I see them around, always say hello, great bunch, hope they stay on this round.
  15. Thanks, hopefully a lot more tomorrow
  16. One is a lavender pekin, the other two not sure yet, possibly faveroles
  17. pm you mate Replied and paid, cheers. on its way first class this morning mate.cheers Got it today mate, excellent service getting it here so quick. on first impressions it looks a good lamp, well made, certainly bright, tried alongside my tracer and very nearly as good, slightly wider beam, but for what I wanted that's perfect, I will use it for a week or so and see how it goes, and if it's good I am interested in another one, do I get a discount for multiple purchases lol
  18. I had a tray of twenty eggs in the incubator, they were due to hatch late tomorrow, 2pm this afternoon the Mrs arrived home to find 3 fluffy chicks running around the bottom looking like they had been hatched a few hours, no detrimental effects as yet, but that's the earliest I ever had them hatch.
  19. pm you mate Replied and paid, cheers.
