Dolly Parton - Jolene (33rpm slowed down digital version)
Rabid replied to PLEDGEY's topic in General Talk
You wankers, I just spent the last 4 hours Going down memory lane on you tube with a few bottles of Prosecco, heads going to hurt tomorrow -
I would leave it till spring and burn it or burn it now if not too many houses about
-
Well done, your getting onto them now ? I was out on some new ground after a deer or two and saw 7 foxes in less than 2 hours, I wasn’t after them but one ambled across the field in front of me brazen as you like, 81 yards it stopped to look at me, that was a mistake. Am thinking I would like to get the numbers down on this ground, so may put in some effort over the next week or two.

Thanks for the sympathy, now don’t fall asleep in the sun and burn .......?
-
I would be up for that, doesn’t bother me where as the birds would be safe with my shooting ?

The sore point is I applied for the swede, came back as the Creed, I went with it at the time as I could lay my hands on one straight away but no swedes were available. Its an excellent round, but the swede is much nicer to shoot in my opinion. I dare say once I play around with some loads and find the right one to do the job it will be fine, I just don’t have time to be messing around this season.

6.5cm not the swede (Sore point but let’s not go there) 143gn eldx as that’s about the only round I can get to group any where near half decent so far.

Will pm you bud

Fd, very kind offer. I was hoping for a springer so he can plink without the need to be reliant on him getting supplies from anywhere, I did think about a pcp. But would be reliant on air fills. not many local shops around, and obviously he doesn’t drive, how many shots do you get from a canister ? Safety is obviously no 1 priority, what’s the problem with the bolt and can it be fixed ?

CWD, and whilst the 6.5 does the job admirably, it’s making a fair mess of them, 223 will do my fox and CWD

I have gained a new perm locally for deer and vermin, the farmer has a young lad, and it’s becoming apparent he has a thing for all things shooting, ,and by all accounts he is a pretty good shot. I would like to encourage this lad, so I’m looking for a half decent springer, now I’ve a few rifles, but all top end pcp’s, and nothing I think suitable for him to start plinking with. Not looking for a freebie, I’m willing to pay for something suitable as I would enjoy getting him out and start his journey, but can’t find anything local. Has anyone got anything suitable for a 12

I don’t particularly like the stock fit, currently looking at an aftermarket stock for mine, by the time I’ve paid out for that I’m at or over sako money. i don’t like the trigger (the break is nice but lots of creep) I am looking at an aftermarket spring.......Possibly even a full trigger. I don’t like the plastic mag, yes it works, but it feels, well plastic.... I don’t like not been able to top load. In general, it’s a great rifle, but the more I shoot other rifles, the more this one feels like a tool, that’s built to a budget, I would like a tool that’s built to qualit

Cheers, I have the t3x stainless lite In 6.5 and as much as I find it ok, I was looking at the sako for several reasons. I Have been offered a remmy 700 to try until I decide which way I’m going.
-
I had the t3x lite in stainless on my list, along with the sako 85

Best I had (wieghed) was a nadge shy of 23lb

Ok, so who uses one, what do you use and how do you rate it.

Best dog I ever had I rescued from a yard, 2yr year old, lived on a chain in its own mess and was all skin and bone, half bald with skin conditions all over it. took 8 months to sort her out but she was the best dog I ever saw, I was picking up on a shoot and one of the guns offered me a blank cheque for her, he was a multi millionaire, and I told him he didn’t have enough money to buy her.

I’ve got my ticket, and used to haul hay and straw to wales, I loved it, but....times change and with digi taco’s, roadworks everywhere and the number of pillocks on the road, it’s not like it was, I still renew my ticket as occasionally jump in for my business, but am seriously thinking when it’s up for medical I won’t bother with it again. as said earlier, I prefer to sit on the 360 or blade with no idiot drivers to dodge at every roundabout and junction.
-
No it won’t be for sale, not yet anyway

It’s a lot of dough to be disappointed with, the best bet is find someone who has one to look through, not always easy to do, and not something I do very often, but wish I could. if your ever this way your welcome to have a evening out with mine and see what you think.

I find things like add ons a faff, always have, I am a bit stuck in my ways some might say, I don’t like the head position with the rear add on, just like I didn’t like the tv screen set ups, dedicated all day long for me, plenty get on with them (or put up with them and say nowt) but not me.

I recently used the 007, I couldn’t get on with the mounting position behind the scope, took me far too long just getting the picture, i would miss a lot of shots, I dare say it’s something I could adapt to IfI carried on using it, but it wasn’t for me, so got the 008 instead

I was suprised how good the day picture was, better than any I’ve used before, I would be quite happy using it on rabbits no bother. cant help with price, look for a 2nd hand one I guess.

Why not a 008 and use it day AND night with no f***ing around taking bits on andoff
