  4. Hi all, this question has brobably been answered before but too many pages to go through. Just wondered what the beddies are like in the tighter spots?? Do you have to help them out?? All the beddies i've seen have been on the large side but i would have never classed them as decent earth dogs!!! Cheers, BB

  7. Sorry for your loss mate, looks like a grafter!! BB
  8. Just thought i'd post these pics, first one is of a 9ft we had to finish off last season. The second one is of a 10ft we had through sand stone took 5 hours to dig with a few collapses along the way. Very dangerous when we hit a layer of sand then hard as feck when you hit the rock! Cheers, BB
  9. Was nice to meet you lads, even if it was only for a quick cupper. Was gonna give labs a ring when i left in the morning to see if you were still out, turns out you went to bed early!! Will have to make sure i havent got to get up at 4 in the morning next time you come down Glad you had a good time, BB
  10. Only saw her a week and a bit ago, and she looks twice as big again!! Will be up soon guys!! BB
  11. The .22 is made by Anschutz with a hand made stock, the gun was bought second hand so was a lucky find really!! The NV is a Cobra Sental 165, expensive bit of kit but well worth it when you get the call outs for the dodgy foxes. Cheers, BB
  12. Hi all, Well after a hard week of work and more to come on the weekend, thought I might as well get a nights lamping in while I can still stand. We had an order to fill for the rabbits, needed about 20 so hopedully we could drop on a few without much hastle!! Anyway we were out on my mates muel, good bit of kit for lampng rabbits as its reasonable quiet and saves a lot of walking. First field we came to just the one lone rabbit bout 60 yds so easy shot with the .22. Next field we got to with a quick scan looked like there were a lot about, bit hard to see them though with the red lens
  13. Thanks for the responses, with regard to getting a gen3 scope, havent got any rifles so got no need for one. Just wondered if there was any kit i could buy in order to see what was going on. Was watching the new warrener video earlier and he videos someone shooting with nightvision, any ideas what camera hes using there?? Cheers, BB
  14. Hi all, Not sure if this is going to make sense but i do a fair bit of fox shooting with a mate of mine. He's got a gen 3 scope on his 223, and alhough its always good crack would be good if I could see what was going on sometimes. Is there any kit out there thats not stupidly expensive that I could use to see what was going on?? Cheers, BB
  15. Just been on the phone to labsandlurchers, couldn't believe it when I saw the picture!! To all concerned, labsandlurchers knows a serious mistake has been made with this dog with it being sold on to complete t***s!!! This wont be happening again!! Just glad he's got him back, he'll soon be fighting fit......................pic below is from a year or two ago, taken just before labs took me out for a nights lamping! All the best, BB
  16. Right oh, thanks guys..........will find something i'm sure!! BB
  17. Hi all, Just wondered what you guys use for your pegs on your fox nets? Got a few on the way just not sure what the best pegs are to use!!! Cheers BB
  18. Thanks for the advice mate, will try that!! As you said its not going to be easy, tried a few things already but as soon as he gets too excited he hits the gutter and away he goes. Tried working him real close as well and works for a while until he finds the gutter again. With a few pheasant baggies to find as rewards might encourage him a bit more to stick to the cover and not the gutter!! Cheers, BB
  19. Hi all, Had my spaniel for 2 years now, did a full seasons beating where i'm an underkeeper last year. And was very pleased with him, he did everything I needed him to do! However, we're dogging in like mad at the moment and this season we've taken on some new ground where a thick hedge with a gutter running through the middle of it runs straight from one of our pens. Obviously the birds are taking this route every day and therefore need dogging in. The problem i'm having is that instead of working the cover, he's jumping in the gutter and running straight up it, not sure why, weat
