If I manage to track him down I will Dave, can't get hold of him myself.
-
Was up his place last week. Every adult terrier in his kennells is worked hard.
-
Nice to know your still getting out Daved. Sounds like the little bitch is useful.

Get a pup from genuine working lines, regardless of it's colour. You wouldn't buy a plastic spanner because it wouldn't last long and you'd end up chucking it, you'd get a proper steel one because it would do the job properly.

The most difficult foxes Ive dug has had more to do with the earth than the fox a fox up a tight winding tube is a bit different to one in a roomy straight pipe.
I couldn't have put it that well, but totaly agree.

Don't hold back LAHOSH, say what you think LOL

Lewistown Club, South Wales (nr. Bridgend), SUNDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER
12.30 pm start.
Trophies for best pup (Terrier and lurcher), Champion + Res. Champion, Best Entered Terrier, Best Bull x Lurcher.
Free child handler class, all entries will have a rossette and sweets.
As well as the usuall lurcher classes there will be a rabbiting type class for under 21''.
Numerous prizes have been donated for raffle.
Food van selling burgers, hotdogs etc. Profits from these will be donated to the fund.
The showground is next to the club and the bar will be open all day.
The terrier judge is from the Midlands (and is a member of this site). He's an experienced terrierman with an eye for a worker.
Lurcher judge is comming down from Scotland. Again very experienced in lurchers and is looking forward to seeing some good working dogs.
The money raised is being donated to 2 people who have done alot for us dog folk over the years running shows, organising racing and simulated coursing not only for the people of South Wales, but all over the country. They were involved in a motorbike accident and we're hoping that any money raised will help them get back to some kind of normality. (If your reading this, get well soon Cath and Mike).

Get used to it, son. You're out to be a Poacher of Legend now, aren't you? And what do you think the Farmers Boys and Gamekeepers will do when they catch you on their ground? Wag their fingers?
i no what you are getting at but f**k me its my dog i no its a working dog and all but i have put every thing i had into that dog. say if it dont make a full recovery thats all that time for f**k all :realmad:
Bide your time young man, what goes around comes around. A friend of mine had a good kicking off a doorman when he was a youngster, seen him about a year later walking on crutches, never one to look a gift horse in the mouth he took his revenge. He's not 17 anymore either so I don't think that doorman will be looking for a rematch LOL. PS hope the dog comes right for you.

Nice type of dog. Looks well capable of doing a full days work.
-
I heard about it on the radio today. They said it was a pit bull terrier. Can't wait to rubbish the breed can they.
-
wear wellies when he's out LOL
-
Pip is looking really well, wish I could take photos like that. Zulu is looking the part, hope he fulfils the promise he's shown so far.
-
It must be said, that's one fine looking dog.
-
Where not talking major deformaties here. My personal opinion is that ''CORRECT BITE'' is a KC expression. If you look at whats happened to most of what they've had a hand in it's knackered. Best x Best regardless of minor faults.

limb,
Nixons terriers will be strong cause they have quite a bit of bull in.
has yr mate stil got that strian?
His mate has still got dogs bred down off them, but he keeps terriers for the odd occasions he digs, he's not really testing them these days.
-
brock seen a bitch work or should i say not work, was a load of shit but thats the only 1 i,ve seen .
Limb was it nixon in barnsley?
Yes Wheaton, and they were big strong dogs that you could rely on.
-
Mate of mine used to keep them. 2 of the dogs were reasonably decent dogs, but the bitches he bred were often rubbish. He eventually went to a well known russell man from Barnsley and got some real crackers. Read Chapmans book and read what he often considers to be a usefull dog might help you make your mind up. I have heard many people swear by them i'm just telling my limited knowledge of them.

It's not the English lads who need the passports, it's the Welsh. SCOUSERS!!!! LOL
-
If he tells you the pub is just down the road, be prepared for a 3 mile walk (and yes I'm speaking from experiance).

Just to let everyone know, I took the advice given, ferreting, a couple of baggies etc. and the bitch has started picking up, she's no world beater, but is improving every time out. Although I had her retrieving toys and dummies she refused to bring back her catch to start, but after a fashion she has started to reluctanly retrieve too, and again is improving. Thanks for all the constructive advice, I think I may well get her to the average stage by the end of the season.
