  1. Ahhhh - I've just got the 1x Beddy Whippet x GH. Currently feed him first thing @ 7am then tend to leave a bowl of GH food in a bowl for him in his kennel to snack on during the day while we're out at work - Probably where I'm going wrong. L88
  2. Northernlite ... This is what i'm striving to get mine to do! By giving him 10 minutes or so to eat his meal then picking up his bowl will this teach him to eat it straight away as I'm don't really want to have him snacking throughout the day like he currently us. He just turned 12 months old last week. L88
  3. Morning all ... When feeding your lurcher do you leave food down most of the day so they can snack as and when or get them into a routine of bowl being on the floor for a set period of time? L88
  4. 2 hour mooch this morning and still noseying out the window at other dogs on our local park.
  5. I use dry complete supplemented with fish, meats & table scraps. I take any advice on board and full appreciative of anyone's views and I am not experience by my own admission. Thanks again =) L88
  6. Dr Johns does appear to be nasty from reviews. Think i'll give the 'Country Value Complete' a try ... Seems decent price with decent results! Lurcher88
  7. Afternoon all, I've a beddy/whippet x GH who is 1 year old next week. Previously I've been feeding him a combination of Wagg worker + Chappies original - He goes mad for it! However, I've done a bit of research into the ingredients in Wagg biscuits and was pretty disturbed by the contents ... Having read numerous posts on this site it appears Gain 20/28 & Dr Johns is what most lads recommend. Despite this I looked into reviews by "nutritionist experts" and especially Dr John's got a shocking review. I've called at the RSPCA center around the corner from me and bought a 2k b
  8. Evening all, Basically I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and I've a 10 month old Bed-Whip x GH and i'm hoping someone on here with ferrets would be kind enough to let my pup shadow his/her dog when out daytime ferreting session with their own lurcher. If anyone can help or knows anyone who'd be able to help me out please send me a PM. Atb L88
  9. Evening all, Bit of advice needed please ... Basically when requesting permission, rather than trek miles and miles knocking of farm doors would I be better of looking up all local farms & sending out a permission letter? Any genuine advice is much appreciated. Atb Lurcher88
  10. I've got a 8MP Samsung Camera (3x zoom) ... Absolute pain in the backside when it comes to taking action shots! I have to set it on continuous shot mode & then let it take 16+ snaps continously & it's pot luck how decent the images are! Thanks for getting back to me. Atb L88
  11. I weighed my Beddy Whippet x GH around a month or so ago ... I seem to recall him being around 10kg. He's 10 months old & 21" tts. Atb L88
  12. Millet ... What camera do you use for action shots? Atb L88
  13. Had tonnes of the stuff here in Derbyshire. The wee pup absolutely loves it. Brilliant quality bonding time
  14. Few pictures of this mornings walk out with the pup & missus ...
  15. Best place is Ebay. Aslong as the structure is sound you can always replace lats & re-felt the roof. Definitely save on the pennies. Alternatively, if you want brand new then B&Q but they ain't as cheap as you think. Lurcher88
  16. Beddy Whippet x Greyhound - 10 months old
  17. Im looking to get the pup shadowing an experienced lurcher. Not much permission around me in truth. Any land is red hot =[
  18. Chesterfield based. Got a beddy whippet x greyhound. Prefer ferretting rather than lamping
  19. Hats off to the pair of you ... genuine people do still exist (Y)
  20. Completely agree Giro ...They're obviously is a population issue at the minute & rather than let them breed the numbers back up I come on here to see 35+ rabbits cleaned up by 1 dog in a night ... All good and well in a population boom but times are hard! Lurcher88
  21. Aye - I get that act too. The look that says, 'You can get fooked off if I'm eating that without meat' haha What is Chappy's like for lurchers? Alfie hammers it down when I give him some - I know a couple of lads who swear by it but others that are set against it
