  1. Yup that's right. I thought he had minshaw in his breeding but I was wrong. ?
  2. That's the sire to my old bitch. He's not my dog although he looks fine to me. Saluki saturated dog.. ribs are gonna be visible. He's coursing bred... I found out yesterday evening he's double Dan bred, coursing type... if anyone knows of that make-up. Owned by Larry Howard at Penrith.
  3. Is this the chester you're talking about?
  4. Thanks. I have her daughter who is fun to watch
  5. She's out of dog called Chester to a colliegrey/beddywhip. She's 8 now. Fantastic ferreting dog. All brains. Soft mouthed and a natural retriever. Here's another vid of her
  6. A good working grew would be nice over her
  7. Yup most of my permission is hedgerows and banks. Friend was kind enough to take me on his permission.
  8. How does he do on smaller fields? My saluki bull grey is 32kg and does surprisingly well on smaller hilly fields.
  9. Couple hour walk last night, missed three as moon kept shining through. Dog did well.
  10. Finished at 13 on friend's permission. My old bitch working well and didn't miss any that came her way
  11. I've used my lurcher for beating, however I've always kept him leaded where I know theres deer. What would your dog do if a deer popped up on a shoot?
  12. Aggressive runners, very keen when something brown and fury is in front of them. They dont plod and wait to strike. They're mother and daughter. Sire was full saluki. I dont use the feathered bitch for lamping, she hunts up too much and isnt as sharp as other two. She has bags and bags of stamina and is great to watch on a big field during the day!
  13. Lots of biking and hikes. The big dog loves to swim. My two bitches are naturally a lot fitter than my dog however they lag behind when it doesn't suit them. My big dog's drive is ace, he's always right next to me putting in 100% graft even though his blood runs hot. Ignorant salukis only put effort in if it benefits them...
  14. First time me or dog have used ferrets. Very pleased with him. Concentrated perfectly and was quick on the bolt. It was quite a big warren although only bolted 1. Not sure whether the ferret was going deep enough. The ferret was a stray handed into a farmer, so unsure on her working wisdom. Needless to say I was happy with a catch. Weather was against us.
