  3. Well I had a laugh today I opened the door and all the kits were all on there back I thought they were dead but it looks like they were strugling with the warm weather .
  4. i use trammels for all my daylight work and have caught several hundred with some nets that netrigger made me , i have had 1 bounce off , i thought the idea was to catch the rabbit , I was only giving my advise to the fellow im sure he said advise I have caught 100s of rabbits but just because its a trammel does not mean it catchs 100% and I didnt say any thing about bouncing off but when a rabbit is caught in the trammel its not going anyway at the end of the day I was giving advise not to be put under the micro scope and have your sarcastic comments good day. wasn,t aimed at

  6. Sorry about your loss this happened to me and she was my best working jill ferret at one year old strange isnt it.
  7. Its horses for courses I use trammels for my pest control business and long nets. The trammels when you come to collect them in they pick up a lot more debris grass leaves twigs ect they do catch a higher percentage but some rabbits still hit them and get free its how they hit the net the only plus is they will catch smaller rabbits but through experience young rabbits rarely bolt to the nets they will try and give the ferrets the run around in the warren and bolt as a very last resort as I do pest control rabbit jobs all year round.   11. Well the jill and kitts are doing well all healthy and the jill looks quite well being it is her first litter and so many kitts

  14. I put my albino jill with a black eyed white hob and all the kitts had black eyes by 1 kit who was a albino I think there was 4 hobs and 4 jills. and this is her first litter.
  15. Well my jill has just had her kitts but when she was feeding I checked and counted roughly 14 didnt realise she was going to have that many as I have another jill due in 3 weeks luckly I have a buchers on contract and get free off cuts .

  17. I have always done it this way but im sure I have read I think it was Stubby whos other jills helped to rear them one of my jills is the pregnant jills mother so I just wondered who has been successful leaving them togeather thanks for your replys Dowen.
  18. I have a jill who is ready to drop anyday now in the past I have always seperated them from the other ferrets I have six. I was thinking of leaving the ferrets all together I have a castrated pole cat that lives with the jills would it be best to just remove him and leave all the jills together your thoughts please regards Dowen.
  19. Yes we have fitted drop boxes before very good when you fit rabbit proof fencing put a couple of drop boxes on the main runs in to were you have fenced this also helps to keep the numbers down of rabbits trying to dig under the fence hope that helps Regards Dowen.
