  1. And Costa !! I reckon the high street is just changing, I do most of my shopping online, what you want , cheaper, delivered to your door at the click of a button. But if you want your hair cut or food or coffee, nail bar , tanning studio, that kind of thing , it’s services that will survive on the high street . As for Brexit , this result is simple, the people are sick to death of being treated like mugs . We voted in the referendum to leave , it hasn’t happened. People just want what they voted for and have been denied by the the useless government. Labour MPs whose constituents voted to leav
  2. The combines are 10 weeks away , and you will probably have poults by then . Just keep at em now , think of different ways you might be able to draw them into a clearing or onto a ride . High seats that you can move around. Your pal needs educating, tell him that when you create a vacuum, nature soon fills it. It amazes me how quickly foxes move in if you have a food source.
  3. They were selling Underpants made in the Ukraine at the market today , but don’t buy any ... because Chernobyl fallout.....ba dum tish !!!
  4. Go on YouTube and watch a clip called”when Charles Bronson met Dave Courtney in prison “ all the way through , he talks about it . And if Dodgy Dave says it it must be true . But if you think about it , the Police had the means and the motive to stitch this guy up , and I think we all know that they are more than capable of it .
  5. What a lot of people don’t know is that the knife used on the lad wasn’t Noyes knife it was the lads . He was found not guilty for the death of the police officer, and I believe was fitted up for the M25 stabbing.
  6. My step son and daughter in law wanted a dog . I sorted them out with a jack russel pup . When they started taking it for walks I said all you need is a slip lead and when it pulls give it a firm pull back , it’ll get the idea and soon stop pulling. Next time I saw it , it was in a harness, scrabbling along the pavement in front pulling like a sledge dog . “What the hells that “ I said “the lead was hurting his neck “ she said . They went on holiday not so long back and we looked after the dog for them , put it this way , I did a bit of “dog whispering “. And it went back to them not pulling
  7. My CZ didn’t like the Eleys , but loves Winchester 40s . The worst I’ve had were CCI .
  8. The reason I started loading was to save a few bob . I hate wasting rounds punching paper . I will see how I get in with this load and if I start missing longer shots I will have a look. They breed us tight round our way ?
  9. I try to not say anything on here that I wouldn’t say to someone’s face . I come on here to read and share hunting/ shooting experiences. Info , maybe learn something which I often do , with other like minded people. I try to keep it light hearted. I am well aware that our detractors read our posts , and a part of me wants to stick my middle finger ?? up at them . So if you are malnourished vegetarian lefty animal rights activist , ask yourself this , what has Chris Packham achieved ? Nothing !!! The people who control avian pests will still be controlling them . All he has achieved is to make
  10. I will have to do my bench rest testing on my day rifle ( I’ve got two 223 rifles ) because my dedicated N/V set up I would have a job seeing the marks on the targets at 200+ meters , I can see a fox no problem and put the point in the right area but it’s a bit grainy at that range for tiny targets. I’ve always worked on the theory that if you are an inch high at 100 meters then you are about bang on at 200 . I’ve got a 243 and my real aim is to develop a load for that , that will allow me to shoot 300+ without dialling in . I’ve got some valleys and banks that I see foxes on that are out of m
  11. You and Deker both made valid points, which I and maybe others have taken on board, but you did it in a way that could get someone’s back up . When I read it I felt like I was back at school and the teacher had just walked in and caught me drawing a pair of tits on the blackboard.
  12. That was the first batch I’ve ever loaded yesterday. I will do some more tests and see where that is . I’m only guessing, but I have always zeroed my rifle this way and it’s been good enough for my foxing. It will be interesting to find out . I could be way off , and the round drops off rapidly.
  13. Most of the foxes I shoot are less than 100 yards at night . I just do that because I have on occasion shot them out to 200 meters .
  14. Like BH said we all hunt for different reasons . I know stalkers that swear by them and others who think it’s in some way cheating. I guarantee that if you get one it will 100% put more venison in your chiller . But will you feel satisfaction from your hunt ? That is for you to decide. I’m not advocating night shooting, but you can take them into dense forestry or woodland and it shows their heat signature and gives you the heads up , also at dusk when maybe light is failing you can pick up a heat sign in the shadows . It’s a tricky one because if you are a recreational stalker you may be limi
  15. Won’t be watching.....I hate heights
  16. You can even call in rabbits. I’ve been mopping up some litters of Cubs on the shoot and last night I put my icotec fox caller just about 15 meters out from the side of a wood which has a large rabbit population. I retreated to cover , gave it a few minutes to settle down and switch the rabbit distress call on via the remote. About five rabbits stood up and then ran full pelt towards the caller and then sat about a meter away from it .
  17. Looking at her picture and reading the vitriol and bottled up anger she is spouting, I’d say what she needs is a good old fashioned f@@king , something she probably hasn’t had for a long time . It’d be a braver man than me to put his hand up to do that though , he’d need a medal ?.
  18. Everyone who loads their own swears by them . The thing is I don’t really want to experiment too much . I am more than happy with the groups I got out of my CZ day set up . I then tried them yesterday evening through my digisight and it shot about 3” low , zeroed it for 1” or so high at 100meters and away I went . So far so good , and if it ain’t broke .... don’t fix it .
  19. Last year I bought some reloading kit with a view to reloading my own ammunition. I’ve been using Sako 50 grains in 223 for a number of years and also Norma if I can get them and had good success. However the cost of the ammunition started to get silly and I shoot about 150 -200 rounds a year . I couldn’t justify the set up cost for reloading . Then I saw a kit on eBay and got the whole lot for £200 , press , scales , tumbler , you name it . Sent off to Henry Krank for the dies . Watched some videos on YouTube. The results have been impressive to me . I started off with 23.5 grains of Vihtavuo
  20. Good grief... have we got to be so PC , that I can’t light heartedly refer to people who I disagree with as Badger f@ckers , for fear that a vegetarian or Vegan or hunt saboteur might read my post . I can just see them now recoiling in horror as their delicate sensibilities have been violated by my trashy banter . I may also have implied in previous posts that I would carry on regardless, not the case , I’m a law abiding person ( most shooters are) and have applied for my licenses and am back at it . I’m off now to wash my mouth out with a bar of soap.
