  1. Had a nice call from a pleasant farmer Friday evening saying he’s been given my number by a neighbouring farmer after telling him he’s got a rabbit and fox problem. So 17hmr and 243 in back of truck and away I went misses asked no questions just see you in morning. Got there around half 8 after a drive around with this old boy settled down on top of a pile of silage bails with caller in mouth calling for no more than 15 mins and first vixen In the bag no more than 75 yards. So kept on calling and then another vixen around 120 yards about 5 mins later. So jumped in truck and headed up the top field where he has some hews. Set gun up on the wicked sticks under a nice old oak tree and another two vixens within the next hr. started to walk down a small hedge way and spotted another but this one was a lot bigger just strolling towards me with out a care in the world quick call and no5 in the bag nice big dog all within 4 hrs. So jumped in to the truck and  had a quick drive down the lane and into the small paddocks his daughter has some horses and managed to bag 10 bunnies within 20 mins. Deffo got a problem with the bunnies so be back down this weekend and have a proper go. When I popped in Saturday evening And showed him my results in pics he’s more than happy and gave me permission to shoot the whole farm as I please.

  2. Hi lads just had my renewal back and been granted my slot for a 308. Has any one got any advise pros or cons on the above will deffo be in stainless and will be looking at 20” preferably. I’m leaning towards the tikka as I have the t3x in 243 and t1x in 17 HMR. Just local rfd can do a very good deal on the howa’s with beserka stock. Also best ammo for each rifle.
    much appreciated

  3. Hi lads first time out in the high seat today since the lock down. Got out my truck and made my way to high seat within 10 mins of getting there I could see few bushes moving and cock pheasant calling away and then noticed there was a litter of cubs playing to keep me entertained as I waited for a my first buck of the season. Wasn’t the biggest of beast but I was happy with my first beast of the season and finding another set so keep my occupied.

  4. Like my misses tells me you may ware the trousers but only the ones that she tells me to lol. If that keeps her happy and me able to go out shooting when I need to and spend on My shooting gear I will ware what ever she tells me to. You will not regret purchasing the reckon sticks my numbers have doubled since purchasing them makes life much easier in field tracking and super stable. I agree that thermal for spotting and a good night vision for shooting.

  5. Hopefully get back up there Friday evening as I now where the earths are and account for the cubs. The fox in the bottom of the pic of 4 is a cub believe it or not I was quiet shocked the size for time of year. But they have had some good eating as they was all shot in a 2 acre field and when I had a look around that field I counted 57 rabbits there sitting out.
