  8. yeh bob, alot of the poor folks just kept cur type dogs prob bit of running dog init, to put few rabbits or birds on the table, and they say most had collie in them in some way or other http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/public/ style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/yes.gif Most were mongrels with a bit running dog in em but if u could see they were running dogs they use to dock em so they didn't look as much Like a lurcher
  9. Had this last year ferreting was gutting all the rabbits and had a very fat rabbit gutted it, it was a pregnant Doe had bout 4-5 babies but once it's done it's done

  11. Collie x greyhound fair enough but not from Hancock. You pay about £200 for a dog that hasn't even came from working lines or anything no disrepect to you but a handfull on people on here said that his pups are bags of s***. I heard somewhere tht his pups are bred from retired race greys and old farm collies which were injured or no good not sure if true or not but I wouldnt take a chance
  12. By the age of 10 months he killed 2 geese 5 ducks about 10-15 rabbits and 3 foxes and I never started him properly (the geese ducks and foxes were accidents)
  13. I bought a 6 month old dog for £40 lad was asking £50 but I said he's to dear an got him for 40 and he's a VERY good dog he bushes goes to ground and will work and mark with ferrets

  16. 8 month old pup had his first run the other day at took him ferreting slipped him on a bolter he turned it 3-4 times then picked him up didnt retrieve him tho so gotta work on tht think he was just excited tht he caught one though cause he retrieved dead ones gonna give him few more runs soon edited by paulus
  17. Get another lad with you get him to hold beam on sitter if the dog can't see it put it on slip and run/jog the dog down the beam to the sitter and when thedoh sees it slip him/her just an idea atb

  19. I like the look of these! Think I might pick one up. They aren't as obvious as carrying around a battery on your shoulder. I'm using a Clulite at the moment. 10 years old and never let me down... Apart from a battery and bulb replacement... But that's expected. The Cluson Clu-Briter is a top bit of kit for £60. Charges up by mains or in car. Good tight white beam. Plenty for rabbits. Easy to hold, no trailing wires or batteries. It's smaller than a small battery drill and alot lighter. I'm taking this out tonight and will take my 1600 Lumen cree torch as back up. Atb. Ga
