  4. Been out to look at a new dog today. This dog stands 21 tts. Hasn't done alot. But was just what I was after. I got home about 5:30-6, and thought I'd take dog for a quick walk as it had been in car for a whole. Grabbed lamp out of cupboard just in case anything was about. Got to about the 3rd field and with a quick flash with the lamp there was a rabbit sat out in the field, got to about 35-40 yards and it bolted, slipped the dog, cracking run, rabbit just reached the cover, but the dog didn't stop, and out of the hedge it came with rabbit in mouth. Returned it straight back and was ready t

Thanks. Hopefully I am going to see a chap tomorrow, he is a friend of my parents. They have a pair of Harris hawks and has flown birds all his life. I have been out today, and sorted some more permission for a bit of ferreting, this Is on a horse equestrian center with some woodland running through it, and they have give me the ok to fly birds of prey on here aswell. So things are looking good for the moment.

Thanks I have land to fly on. I live on a farm which is close to a pheasant/partridge shoot so there is plenty of game on the land. I'm not planning on getting a bird anytime soon, just after some experience, and like you say a mentor so I can always give someone a call when the time comes to get myself out there. I will have a look into them books this week, I was looking at doing 1 of the courses at newent? Anyone know if it would be worth it? Lad I spoke to said I'm better going out doing it hands on? Atb Matt

Hi everyone. I am really interested in falconry and someday owning my own bird and flying it out hunting. Was wondering of anyone in Worcestershire area would mind taking me out and showing me the ropes. Bit cheeky i no, but you don't ask you don't get. Thanks

    Questions

Hi everyone. I have always wanted to own my own hawk and go out hunting. I have read a few books, and also went out with someone to learn abit about it. This was a few years ago now and since my son has got older, I have more time. I was wondering whether there was anyone in the Worcestershire area who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes and introducing me into the world of falconry. Any help would be great.
  15. Hello, kennels all sorted I'm after something that's not to big and bit of an all rounder.
  16. Hi everyone, loving the site. Some cracking write ups, also very helpful people on here. I'm looking at getting another lurcher, haven't been lamping for quite some time now. After reading some of the posts it has encouraged me to get back into it. Been out and bought a new battery and lamp. Now to look for the right dog.
