    I total'y agree frankel, i have seen many dogs that were broke to low land sheep chase hill sheep . i was speaking to a butcher a few years back who had been butchering lamb and he said that the meat from different breeds of lamb would have different smells. i often wonder was this what was causing the dogs to chase hill sheep. what ever causes it, it has sent many's a good dog to dog'y heaven long before they were due. And as for a dog for hunting the hill and moors G.W.Pointer cross every time, not being biased or anything

    Paddy's back packing around switzerland on his way to the yodeling festival he turns up at this little farm house and asked can you put me up for the night please the farmer replies you will have to share a room with my daughter but if you promise not to sleep with her you can stay the night Paddy gives the farmer his word that he wont touch the girl and settles down for the night The next morning the farmer is up early to do the milking when he is finished he goes to the bedroom to call paddy But paddy is gone the daughter is lying there grinning from ear to ear furious the farmer

    Is that not the case with all breeds that bitches are easier to train than dogs? my father trained a lot of gun dogs for himself and others witch included pointers both dogs and bitches he always said that bitches were a lot easier trained, in layman terms he said that it was a hormone thing that all dog would be more interested in chasing bitches than paying attention to it's trainer and a bitch would lose concentration mostl'y when she was in season.     Very nice is that the half cross? I would imagine a 3/4 would be very nice too. Hegart is a 1/2 cross pointer x saluki bull grey he hunts like a pointer using the air and ground to sent he is not the fastest or gamest dog I have ever had but fast enough for what I use him for.

    There are times he is sorry he he got rid of that line .... meg galway rags they were hard to beat in tight cover. kev runs his with the big stuff at times

    There is not much point in having a lurcher that can jump any fence when its well past middle aged owner cant get over the bloody thing. i look at my lurcher standing in the next field waiting on me and i know he is saying to himself hurry up you fat c--t.

    Hello BlackBuck, Yes they go back to blue on both sides the grandmother of these pups on the dogs side is out of blue to a nuttall bitch and the grandmother on the bitch side is out of blue to a booth bitch. the father of the pups is our choc dog out of P.R. dog sergeant , i don't know if you have ever seen sergeant work he was a good dog retired early. i think stout would have been blue to a different bitch again. and just to confuse matters more blue was 3/4 patterdale 1/4 bedlington if i am not mistaken.

    two paddy's were out for a drive one day when they came to a bridge where there was a fella holding another fella over the bridge by the ankles the two paddy's stopped and asked what they were doing? and the fellow said we are fishing be quiet for a minute and watch you will see how it works after a few minutes the fellow being held by the ankles shouts PULL ME UP. PULL ME UP .PULL ME UP. they pull him up and he has a big salmon in his hands now they said we will go to the local pub and the landlord will buy the salmon of us and we will be able to have a few pints with the money.

    Dog and bitch from the same litter, i gave the bitch to a very good friend he lost her about 2 years ago.
