Thank you for the info and I agree 100%, the money ruined many working breeds and still does!!! The European working cert on a dog is meaningless to me, I know its a common in thing among DTJ and Teckels/Dachshund and many KC breeders.

Thank you and I agree, there are some (show) border breeders over here who use or buy these "working tested" dogs and breed from them and ask a fortune for a pup.

It's a long shot but if you don't try you'll never know. Looking to get in contact or get pointed in the right direction with someone who keeps and works Border Terriers and is willing to help, I know there are only a handfull but it's worth a try I guess. Used to own and work black terriers and always had a soft spot for borders and seen a few work back in the days and they were always spot on and though as nails. Looking for a border pup from working lines, I'm not in a hurry as I'm a patient man and I'm willing to travel as I'm not from the UK. Any help would be much

It's also the people behind the locator, there mentality these days. Most that i know are not interested anymore in testing a terrier, it's all about the numbers. I know a guy who has loads of permission any man could wish for, lives in a country he can legally hunt/dig all quarry but he would not hesitate to double up his dogs to get his numbers so he can show on fb.

We never put a dog in, even if we wanted to, the keeper wouldn't let us as they have learned from the past. There was a small spot in the corner that goes round wich we did tried and we blocked the other entrance for obvience reasons.? These spots gives me the creeps.

This is a bad spot were a few dogs were tried over the years. Unfortunatly the few dogs that were entered never came out.

They say you have to be carefull feeding raw pork as it could be infected with the "Aujeszky" disease and it could be fatal for dogs.
