  1. My sort of knife....100% recycled.?
  2. Either you are fast at making knives riohog ......or you are making about £6 per hour. Nice looking pair of knives.
  3. Latest knife laws, as of last month are making it a pain to post knives in the UK. Need proof of age before delivery. Posting outside UK is even worse with brexit export/ import duties. Loads of couriers are just refusing to carry knives. Can see it finishing a lot of Uk makers.
  4. Fantastic work as usual and nice photo's. ? A folder is a completely different kettle of fish to make. First one takes a lot of time to work out. Looks spot on that one and very functional. ATB Griff
  5. Just seen this now. Nice looking little forge. Finger not so nice. Angle grinder? Looks like it could do with a couple of stitches. Griff
  6. I do like the look of that one. The G10 is practical but the bog-oak looks classy.
  7. Stunning work as usual. ? Nice to see some variety in your designs. Griff
  8. This is one my son has had on the go for a while. The wrought iron is a piece i pulled out of a skip, just thought it was mild steel rod, only realized when it was being forged into a pair of tongs. The tongs got abandoned and the wrought iron put to a better use. The blade is leaf spring from a series 2 landy. 9. Seems to be an issue with the URL reader on the site, usually works fine. Uploaded a few direct from the laptop but not all of them as allowance maxes out at 14mb. Griff
  10. Recently finished this knife. I made it for a "knife in the hat" draw over on EM forum. The style is Kiridashi so ground on one side only with the other flat like a chisel. Ideal for cutting leather or anything else where you would run the blade along a straight edge. 11. Thanks Nicolas, i am pretty happy with the result. It has been a fun project.
  12. The chain is various high carbon steels and the core is high carbon leaf spring. I heat treated and tempered it as per 1095 carbon steel so expecting it to take & hold an edge alright...will let you know once i sharpen and give it a good test.
  13. This blade is made from motorbike chain hand forged on to a leaf spring core. I have experimented a few times with chain Damascus but this is the cleanest weld yet, not perfect but it has character. Very hard to eliminate all the voids in the chain beating it by hand...even though i spent probably half a day hammering away on it.... I will make a press one day. I had a smaller knife in mind when i started out but wanted to maximize the lump of rough forged "Damascus" I ended up with so it determined the size & shape of the final blank. The blade is 7.5 inches and handle approx 4
  14. That's a beauty! Love the engraving on the brass bolster.?
  15. Still her Jok. Not so much time knife making recently...life gets in the way. I do have a bit of chain Damascus i made that it slowly taking the shape of a blade. Will post up some pics when i get it done. ATB Griff
  16. Very nice piece of craftsmanship. ? I love a full flat grind on a blade.
  17. I have a couple of DOC 150 traps. They are stainless steel and last well. Very sensitive pressure plate.
  18. Very nice. I like the contrast of the red/black/bronze spacers.
