  1. The operator error was a bit tongue in cheek, but it's best to start with the cheap stuff like swapping the mounts front and rear and/or rotating them 180 degrees to see if the issue is with the mounts or any differences between the two. They might grip better one way than the other or you might not be able to do it at all if they have locating pins on. Might be something as simple as a loose screw.
  2. Could be loads of things. £30 mounts should be ok for a rimfire. Could be the barrel moving in the stock, the scope itself or you're a terrible shot. Start with the cheap solutions. First thing I'd do is swap round the front and rear mounts to see if that makes a difference.
  3. If he hasn't got a bird to hide behind..
  4. I don't really understand the technical aspect but I enjoy watching it. We went to Poland a couple of years back to see the World Championships. Great atmosphere. Larratt and Brzenk weren't there for whatever reason that year, but there were some real monsters. Levan is possibly the biggest man I've ever seen. 180kg. He's imposing way before he gets to the table. Denis Cyplenkov was injured at the time but did a guest appearance. His top half looked like a tracksuit top with joke hands about 3 times the size of normal coming out of the sleeves. ?

Thanks for the moderating advice. Not sure if checking my pms daily was part of it, but hey ho. It was a light hearted remark before you kicked the arse out if it.

Luckily I did read this post and have answered your pm. The alarm system that alerts us with a buzzer and flashing lights wherever we are when we get a pm must be playing up.
  7. Might have been 400lb with a big head.
  8. That's an interesting fact as my personal experience has been the exact opposite. I've shot some massive foxes with heads the size of dogs in suburbia but in the country they've all been average size.
  9. Did anyone nearly drive over to someone's house?
  10. Right. Been away a few days and come back to see nothing has changed. The "new member" who says he won't be back definitely won't be. It's not hard. If you're interested in reading about this topic, read it. If you aren't, don't. This constant bickering is pathetic. Use the ignore button if someone winds you up to the point of not being able to control yourself. I'm not going to read any "he said, she said, but but" pms and i'm certainly not going to read every post, so in the interest of fairness, the very next person (whoever they are) after this point >>>>>>.&l

  12. Something's been going through our bins at night recently. Only the recycling bin and not the general one which seemed odd. My mrs reckoned it was a cat. I reckoned fox.
  13. I've got a cheapy tomtom satnav and that takes coordinates as well as postcodes. If you right-click on anywhere on google maps it brings up the coordinates at the top of the dropdown menu and if you just google the coordinates it brings up the right place on the map.
  14. I hope it is on as we've put a deposit on a static.
  15. He sounds a right knob but so do the coppers. Pleading for people to help while they sit up there with their 4ft long batons, CS gas and probably tasers.
  16. Knowing a nuke was going to hit in the next few minutes wouldn't be much use to anyone. I don't think there's anything sinister about this, just more nannying from the government. My phone has "extreme alerts" and "severe alerts" - whatever the difference is, and both are switched off. They're going to use it to bombard us with "danger to life" messages when the temp hits over 75 degrees or there's more than 1/4" of snow on the ground.
  17. That turned out well....
  18. I saw an advert for a horsedrawn trip from Llangollen wharf to the Horseshoe Falls and back.
  19. Also just up the road from there. Chirk aqueduct. Right next to a railway viaduct.
  20. Looks so different without the snow. And sideways.
  21. Correct everyone. It's the Pontcysyllte aqueduct on the Llangollen canal.
  22. I haven't looked into it so far. Yes it has. The only proviso was that we couldn't have a new access to the land from the road but it was granted because there's an ancient overgrown gateway in the hedge. Nearest beach is in Kerry about 30 miles away.
