  1. Good working type of terrier Nick. Impressed with those.
  2. It is not worth doing mate unless you put it on clean metal,a much better alternative is to spray your vehicle with some Fresh oil underneath so it soaks into all the seams and into the chassis. That is definitely sound advice and I have also mixed new engine oil with grease (50:50) and slapped that all over chassis etc but avoid rubber hoses as some can react to oil. It will eventually wear off a bit and you may need to do it a couple of times a year, but the metal underneath it will stay like new and is definitely better than waxoyl... but a bit of a messy job. Cheers.

  7. Genetically, either the dog or bitch can have a greater or less significant impact on any mating dependant on how dominant the particular gene is in relation to the other animal in the mating. Some dogs will stamp their physical type to lots of their pups but this impact also depends on the genetic make up of the bitch they are bred to. Having said that I was always told to plan to perpetuate a working strain through the bitch line, which may be an old wives tale, but some of those have a habit of coming true! I usually prefer to work dogs than bitches, but still have the above in mind. Gener
  8. Just sent you a pm before reading this. What a sickener. Really gutted for you. She was such a great bitch. I know it can be part of what we do, but I didn't expect it to happen to Tan as she was that experienced at the job. Best wishes and really sorry to hear the bad news.
  9. They can be a handful alright(wheatens)but most of the bull blood worth breeding from would be similar ,that would of been a good way to do it,i reckon 3/4 smaller terrier 1/4 wheaten would be just right, but as you said they might not last too long due to wear and tear I bought a white dog at 3 years old about 12 years ago. Not being totally sure of his breeding I originally thought he was bred from a russell and a chocolate patterdale, but eventually discovered it was bred in Ireland and was about 1/4 wheaten. Powerful dog about 15" tts and a massive head. Probably best working dog I've
