your dead right , entering them to young can ruin them , my saluki greyhound wouldnt go near one at a young age but now he's 3 he will take them.......

I WOULD USE A BEDLINGTON GREYHOUND OR SOMETHING WITH A BIT OF DEERHOUND ......................................but not when i have a first cross bull greyhound that does the job ......

nice pack are the offspring any better than the parents workwise ?i have been out with ss whippets and 1x beddy/whips ,but not with a 3/4bred what are the difference s thanks 'barnslyben' the offspring are very good workers use them mainly daytime they go to cover like terriers ,nice strong feet, and lighting quick i do use them on the lamp, run them on turf growers land these dogs can motor , i think there has fast as a whippet but with better feet and faster than the 1st cross bedlington , the 1st cross they can and do yap when in hot pursuit , my 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlingtons dont .........

i use a 14amp belt pack which is very light , being around your waist and iam using it for 4 hours lamping but will last double that ...my mate has a lithium battery not sure what amp it is but its small and this last for hours used it at least 9 hours over the weekend and there was two bars left on the power gauge but these are double the price of a belt pack ...........hope this helps

a few of my small running dog on the right first cross bedlington x whippet and a sooty sam whippet , sire and dam to the other two 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlingtons ...fast , agile ,very game little dogs , all standing 20 inch.....................

theres not many rabbits where i go lamping sometimes only get ten runs if iam luckly and the rabbits are very lamp shy so if i catch three rabbits iam happy my dogs work hard for these and i class them as very good workers...... dont matter if you catch big or small bags of rabbits its how your dog works to catch them .... just enjoy it , HAPPY HUNTING

nice pup , ive got a first cross beddy x whippet got him from selston 6 year ago , made a top class worker ,breed him last year to my whippet the pups are very good workers too .....try not to start your pup off to early i know its hard but it will pay off .....where did you buy him from i may know them ...... mine would catch hares on the lamp but not many in the daytime ,mated her to my beddy x whippet , kept two pups going to run them on charlie with my bullx , should be ok there keen enough.... -

never had a problem with my whippet bitch but i did spend alot of time in her training ,retrieves with no recall, my friend has a whippet dog that also retrieves,sometimes my other lurchers that do retrieve when out lamping stop retrieving when theres other dogs present......... -

should be a good a good bushing dog not sure what it will look like but looks dont matter if it does the job , a mate of mine once had a spinger x grey ... -
its a worry everytime you slip your dog , my first saluki x grey smashed his back leg off running a rabbit in the daytime he hit some steel sticking out the ground and was still chasing it another 50 yards with it flapping about before he dropped to the floor , it was only hanging on with abit of skin , i was covered in blood trying to hold it together i was only 15 at the time far away from home my mate had to run home to get his dad to take me to the vets , dog ended up with plates and screws in his leg but he wasnt the same dog after , he was only just over a year old, had him till he was 1

its always nice when your pup gets its first rabbit . thats the best way to do it running it with another dog to start them off ive always done it with mine ...happy hunting..

she is 4 mate a real powerful bitch and very fast got she will run anything you slip her on , but shes been having nose bleeds i think she pushes her self to far . vet cant find anything wrong after spending 500 pounds on tests , hopeing to get out with her this weekend , been holding her back for a few week keeping my fingers crossed......

have you got if working yet ? maybe in a few months time when its fully grown and filled out it will stop doing it , sounds a nice dog ......

whats in the breeding mate, ive got 2 bedlington x whippets that whine sometimes when hunting rabbits in rough cover but they never whine when out lamping, does yours whine when you go lamping on its own?
