    I have a Irish terrier whippet collie greyhound Who is marking holes trying to dig in to the borrow when she hears it all going on below ground ,She is also pushing cover great recall and is really keen I really only do ferreting I also 2 whippets one which is starting to slow down and spends the colder days on the sofa .The problem is the lurcxher will chase but won't make the strike she has coursed them mouthed them to a stand still will not lift the bunny gets it stopped and stand and looks at me she has just turned 12 months I have wrapped a at retrive dummy in rabbit pellet she is now div

    I had the ptoblem started tying the dead rabbit around 6 inched off the ground and spraying the bottom of the run with salt water some salt around the outside of my hutches

    Have to agree that Derek's photos were all action shots Would not care if there no people in the photos after all it is the dogs that do the winning Nice to see a real close up of the winng line up to see the condition of the dogs.My mate John Humphries won the overs and unders nor could I find a photo of Fiona's wee under 21

    I agree with chalkwarren .If the pup can compete in the final class against adult dogs why have a puppy class in the first place ?Same goes for verteran class. Don't think it is fair to ask a judge to judge a puppy againt a mature dog

    Dessie what say makes sense Shame you stopped the show but that is your choicefair play to you For all the reasons mentioned above the wife and I have stipped going to the shows We only support Ballywalter and Shanes I went to Fionas show becuse it was for a good cause Just tried of all spitefulness and bitching.Prefer to be out with my dogs doing what they are bred for Sammy

    Hi Chid wanted a wee change the whipprts are great in the cold while things are happening and the bunnies are bolting But when the locator comes out and the digging starts they start to shiver want to try a bit of sit stay come fetch etc started doing some but having trouble fitting the time in my fault

    Sping has turned 6 months now have the recall ok but can be a bit selective when playing witha another pup she is ok own our ownshe sits and stays for a while ,getting throgh gates and fences well ,great aroun cows will sit and let come up to her ,she is great with sheep don't trust her of the lead as yet she puts the ears up when they run of a few pics

    I have 2 whippets a spaniel and a lutcher pup the whippets will push into heavy cover if they know there us smothing in there but are to soft skinned to bush they don't like My advice is a beddy whippet cross

    Was at Shanes on Sunday really enjoyed the day we brought a few guests along special needs children they presented a Perpetual sheild from forest lodge repite centre to the Glenbank club. Two of the kids showed in the child handling each getting a rossett each they went home very happy children stopping and showing the rossetts to everyone they met took ages to get them to the car LOL Like to thank the judges in my opinion they done an excellent job we watched the whippet ring mainly . Only slight criticism in the showing the lurcher puppy had atleast 20 plus in the ring felt there was

    I think 6 dogs running in the one heat is too many. There were heats of 6 running at Ballywalter never seen so much banging and barging all the dogs are trying to get behind the drag middle dogs will get knocked. When the last heat is finished there needs to be a break to give the dogs in the last heat a chance to catch their breath
