  1. I've got 3 clulite batteries 2 14 amp and 1 17 amp and u know when u have been carrying these buggers for 4/6 hours just got a 22 amp lithium had it 3 weeks mate and if it broke I would not think twice about buying another u never do realise how much easier it is too lamp all night with these things they weigh next too nothing I don't like the cig adapter but it is some thing I can live with and I have yet too use the full batterie charge of this thing and my other batteries have not left the garage in 3 weeks

  2. They do in Oz but the lads I went out with dint like much longdog in there crosses there crosses have too put up with the heat and ruff ground u got too think of the ground is not like ours all smooth ground it's all brush and and ground that is rooted too f**k by the hogs

Think 70% of the pigdogs here have some sort of longdog in them, the longdog (roodog/staghound) have been hunting rough rocky brush and bush areas for hundreds of yrs on faster game than pigs, ground is rarely a problem for the runners here any more than other breeds

Yes mate the ones I seen did have long dog but were more bully then long dog would of loved too bring back some pups from a mate of mine in quensland they were dogs that impressed me for the size they were seen them run on Roos and pigs they were not the fastest of dogs I've ever seen but bye god they would tackle lions if the lad let them

mate if your mate in aus was chasing roos he needs a smack in the chops any pig dog worth a grain of salt is roo proff chances are your talking shit becouse hairy bull menchend roodogs. roo dogs dont hunt roos its a type of dog you clown and chances are your mate dosen even hunt and your another shit talker

Mate did I say any thing about roo dogs no read my msg before u slate some one and so what if he had dogs that did take Roos and pigs sure there where dif type of dogs he had some were more the pigging type some more a staghound bull type that were and prob still are bringing down roos and pigs and if u like too disagree with what I say get up too makay the lads I used too drink with were always in the Irish bar on fri after work So go on up there and tell them there dogs are pish mate

  3. The kinda breeds that I was shown while out there were half cross bull grey back too there bull crosses and some of them had collie kelpie and a few staghound cross but most of them were more bit bull type dogs so I think alot of them would say why change some thing that works

was that in oz buddy what about that cross in texas i reakon there is not much choice out there if there is why arnt they using any ?

Yea mate was in Oz and yea I think they do the yanks take it as serious as us when it comes too dogs and the one thing u got too remember is the heat out there and I think it will differ from state too state the dogs they use and that is only one family there will be loads out there some of the USA boys can prob say more on the subject

  9. Was out ferreting couple of months ago took a young lad with me started of on a banking prrty steep but not bad ground ferret worked away got 3 in the nets so I started too locate the ferret was right near a hole so i told the boy too stick his hand down and pull it out well all I got was a look of f**k u I ain't sticking my hand down there it was on a slight slope dogs running loose the nets off the hole the rabbit bolts right up he's chest he catches it then my deerhoundx jumps on the rabbit and pushes the kid down the hill dog in tow not letting go of it's rabbit me and my mate were in stitches for 30 mins

  10. Mate can't help ya on the skin thing but on dry dog food I have tried beta greyhound and chudleys greyhound and they both work well and I have one dog that does alot better on a cheaper dry food and on the house training I use a water pistol on myne if they try and do it while Iam in but what I do with a pup is every time it gets up too drink or starts walking about like it's looking for some thing too do straight outside and I keep doing it and I also say a command when it is pissing like peepee and give praise after sounds gay I know but I've got one dog that will start pissing any where if I say it even on mates shoes lol and for the lamping kit can depending on what ur going for and size of fields I would say start off with a cluelight cb2 then if u start doing more u can go on too things like light force lamps that can connect too ur cluelight battery pack or go for the full kit and try lithium batteries and light force kits but there are loads of dif types of lamps u can use or u can go the homemade type which are as good as any exp one I've got one I made from a screw fix lamp took out the battery added a longer lead connected too a bigger battery in a ruck sack works and does the job cost me 30 quid well good luck mate hope the dog comes on well

  11. Mate I have a prtty similar cross my self but the sire was a dhxgyxsal and dam was whipxbed very good for the permission I have they are not the quickest off the Mark and there not speed demons like a whippet but they can shift and run all nightI can have good nights lamping or a walk in the daytime on big eared rabbits there not what I'd call a great bushing dog though skin is not as tuff as it looks there retrieving is good but prey drive can be abit too much some times as soon as they see some thing moving they can have that saluki trait of not giving a f**k what u say but all and all great dogs Iam happy but as some one did say earlier u would want too try and pick the smallest one as I had 2 from the same litter dog made 27 bitch made 24 and the bitch bye far is the better dog but the big dog can have some use on very long slips but every dog is different and my two are not the same as what u are breeding

  12. Mate if this is ur first tatto it might be wise too find a tattooist that can do the kinda work u won't and get him too make u ur own design best way I've found with tattooist is too give them a pic of the real thing and get them too make it fit you in the way u won't it too look cos once it's on it's on for life the hardest thing you will find is finding a tattooist that is very good at dog portrait tattoos

  13. My problem with all this is I've shot ferreted most of my life and the last 3 months my dogs are pulling more game then I ever got shooting just shows I should off gave up shooting years ago lol but I do still love going duck shooting but the problem I've found is I can't find a dog that can jump high enuf yet

  14. This topic has brought back so many off my own memories i had forgotten about so I'll put one up

When we were Kids and this was not even that long ago maybe 15 years or some thing like that me and my pals that are still the same pals today were the right ruff ones off are small little town not the ones hanging out on the corners but the ones that were always up too making money scheme well we came up with the great idea off selling rabbits for a living we were 10 ofcourse some great plans we had well all we used too have was a ferret a jack russel and 2 spaniels and some nets and we used too go every were well we ended up going past the local estate on are bikes and passed a field that had let's say 50 rabbits in and we were in are element buzzing with excitement with are new plan too become rich so off we went me and my pal knocking on are other pals door telling him we have found the mother load now thinking back it was prob not the best idea asking one of my pals too come cos he was and still is abit of a smart ass so of we goo ferret In pocket dogs following us on are bikes nets in the school bag right up too this field that we kinda knew we were not alowed on but we said f**k it know one can see is up here so off we march done all the burrows and ended up with about 12 rabbits so we thinking yes 12 pound and what were all going too do with are 4 pound that we just made and up rolls this landrover at the gate were are bikes are so we all start walking slow at this point trying too think how we getting out off this one and my pal the smart ass said don't worry I'll sort it out just follow me so of we walk me and my trying too think what this git is going too say so he walks straight up too the motor and the old keeper pops he's head out the window and says right lads put the rabbits in the back off the motor and be on ur way I seen u all coming up here 4 hours ago so me and my pal look at the smart ass pal in a big stare as if too say give him the rabbits so he turns round and says u do realise my father owns this land u ignorant fool in some posh acsent as if he is fooling any one well too top it off it dint help that me and my pal were rolling about on the floor laughing till we could not breath so out this old boy gets with stick in hand and gave us a good boot up the arse for being cheeky so he sends us off no rabbits and a sore ass we did eventually get are revenge on that old boy but that's a dif story

  15. K sorry I may not have gave use the right idea on this the reason Iam using this set up is cos the new kennel has yet too be built and the dog has over 20 feet length of chain on slabs I have a kennel set up all rdy for the lurchers but they got on with my last dog so could all be housed together but the new dog is a cocker pup and I don't trust my lurchers just yet with such a small dog so this is a temp situation and I have tried the swivels on either end of the chain the problem is if u know what cockers are like they keep going round in circles when ever u walk past has any one used any thing different too a chain or if it worked better

  16. Hey there all could do with some advice I usually keep my dogs in kennels but can't afford a new kennel and run so iam using a pals cheap kennel with chain ATM but I can't find a way too stop the chain from twisting any one know of any old tricks too stop this

  17. Oz or Nz lived in both countries u can do as much hunting in these places as u like plus if u move too Oz I'd suggest farm work on cattle station or sheep station or some thing in the bush land great way too get a house when u move and the folk that live in the bush land are not like city dicks there always a helping hand just don't go too far north in Oz

  18. The best thing I've found too work is a light force lance or striker or some thing like them then use a cluelite battery pack and splice the wire at the end of the lamp were the cigarete connector is and connect a cluelite connector sorted great lamp and battery backs that come in all sizes and are pretty tough and the connector does not fall out every 2 mins
