I am Helen Abbot, great grand daughter of one of the original Abbot Bros.My father ran the establishment at Thuxton for many years and he lives in the farm house there. The business became unviable really when the railways stopped taking livestock. You wouldn't recognise the place now, although the pig stys still remain, though sadly empty.
