  1. Got 2 hobs (males) and if try put them together they just fight especially if breeding season so best off keeping them apart i reckon, as for indoors you can litter train them but they still stink and leave a musk on anything they touch like the sofa and to be honest so long as youve got blankets or some insulation in the hut they are meant to live outdoors its more natural just make sure they have shelter as they overheat easily. ive known people to keep jills together so long as their brought up together from the same litter but you have the problem of either getting them injected once a yea

    HW80k

Selling up again, had a poor season would accept £180
  7. Hutch sounds fine so long as have access to the run or are let out for atleast few hours a day, collars definately good investment and make sure ya get a strong but light shovel, use a bulldog garden border shovel myself can carry it all day and great for diggin in confined areas. nets can either buy them or make them if you make them stick to spun poly, hold knots better and tangle far less than the cheap nylon nets. wouldnt bother with books better off just getting yourself out and learn from experience, net holes as quiet as can and preferrably down wind give the set a few mins to settl
  8. I use a heavy ceramic bowl and have yet found it to freeze over but does need changing twice a day as bedding tends to end up in it, wouldnt worry bout ferrets tipping them over mine have learnt to avoid stepping on it
  9. Just let it nip, mines 13 month old now and still does it, even upto 2 year its just there way of playing. Anything more than a nip give them a flick on the nose (not braindamage) they sharp learn. overall though dont be nervous around them, if you want to pick them up then pick them up dont mess about with gloves it only makes them think your skin is thicker than it is and will end up making it bite harder. diet wise the lads are spot on, out you can get while out, rabbit or birds if ya into shooting sling them in bones fur the lot all good stuff. odd egg although can cause fur loss if too r
  10. Use a large hob myself but guaranteed 1 out of 3 will be a dig. On the plus side if theres anything there it will get it but if you dont like digging then stay well away from them. Small jills will bolt if they can but find sometimes get given the run around.
  11. Just get british army issue, take ya a week or two of blisters to break in but once thats out the way they last atleast 2 years and if kept polished up wont get any water through them. Strong boot, warm, waterproof and plenty of grip. Job Done.
  12. Im just glad the lass enjoyed me rabbit stew last night or id of gone off it if id got up at 6am for nout, was a good day out though mate and glad weather held off. Def going back to the old army boots though them wellies aint half bruised me feet ill be walking like a penguin at work, on the upside though atleast ya new nets worked a treat.
  13. only thing ferret scent seems to scare off is women...
