  1. get her scanned mate, only 30/40 quid then you'll know one way or the other, neither of my greyhounds looked pregnant at 4_5 weeks
  2. Unfortunately you could well be right Neil..just been sat here thinking when I last saw Keith and realised it was about 9 or 10 yrs ago...shame that ,very nice bloke to deal with, always took time to explain anything I asked him but in layman's terms..
  3. Used them for AI and scanning, spot on to deal with Keith's a top fella, very knowledgeable and been doing it for years..not one of recent experts who seem to be popping up everywher..
  4. Might be worth getting the whippet to a decent bone man for a check over mate, could be something amiss you've not detected..Gus looks in superb nick..
  5. Get her progesterone tested..had similar problem with mine, get her tested and AI..every ball a coconut
  6. put her on greyhound data mate...who's she out of?any idea size/weight?
  7. Get her progesterone tested mate...saves disappointment. Last bitch I bred I took her for testing on day 9 just to get a better idea for later in the week to make arrangements with stud dog owner..only to find her levels way up and had to be lined that day or she'd go over..9pm dash to Yorkshire ..didn't expect her ready for at least 3 days..
  8. I've had 25 to 30 messages about these pups Fred..some probably good owners but imo not right for these..some absolute dickheads...one very nice lady rang me and explained she'd just lost her 13yr old retriever and had always wanted a "scruffy" lurcher to accompany her and the family on their woodland walks local..she then went on to reassure me it wouldn't get a chance to chase or hurt any rabbits as there was none, just squirrels and lots and lots of deer...?
  9. No mate, scan them at 30 days it's bang on..at 30 days embryos are attached to uterus wall and should show a nice dark nucleus..the shadows when she absorbed them were actually scars where embryos had attached and been absorbed..the bitch can absorb them up to 40 days, after that she would have to pass them...
  10. cheers Tank,I'll get my daughter to put pics on when she gets home..I'm hopeless ..?
  11. You're right tank, but I simply couldn't afford to do that..likes been said, plenty want them but I got off my arse and went to the trouble/expense of taking the greyhounds on and doing it..a good friend of mine was gifted one...another pup was being gifted but there was only one bitch..I enjoy having the greyhounds and put a lot of time into them,it's not a chore, but surely I can't be expected to do all the work year round, pay for it all and then just give the pups away to strangers on the Internet. As I said earlier I could have sold these pups at least five times over...the first one going thr
  12. I pmd somebody who was looking for one on here, someone who actually gets out and grafts his dog..I offered him one for 300 but he's already sorted..Nice dog BTW.
  13. I'm guessing this is aimed at me...mine are going to working homes..at a decent price...I didn't put them on here because of things like this..you said you would rather breed your own for 600..I think you'll find kenneling, feeding, bedding, cleaning worming ,jabbing a greyhound year round and rearing a litter will cost treble this..if you're lucky..
  14. The litters mine Davie..I don't remember telling anyone 26..my daughter must have replied to you..There's a dog pup here will definitely make 24/25 he's an absolute lump..The bedlington is from Rillington lines and is worked but I'm not putting another man's name on here...As for the price of the pups..this bitch was mated 12 months ago but absorbed them at 30 days..I could have passed her on but I didn't.. she's my dog and I'm very fond of her so I waited 12 months and tried again..she's in kennels with my other greyhound but I do all the feeding ,cleaning, exercising etc..and it all costs mon
  15. You've hit the nail on the head Phil..he got her because his mate has one and tbf it is a well behaved/mannered dog..it goes to work with him every day and can wander/hunt till its hearts content on the fields surrounding his workshop..my son in law fancied one and thought it would be fine with a half hour walk in the morning and half an hour with a ball thrower in the evening when he got home from work..being left in the house with his elderly parents in-between.It was only ever going to end badly but he wouldn't listen..The dogs fine if his parents are home, but if they need to nip out there'
  16. First thing I thought was stress..the dog gets exercise but not enough imo..nor mental stimulation...I told them to put it on chicken and rice first, this made her worse...I'd be confident in the diagnosis now as the dog recovered as soon as it went on this science diet stuff,it's tinned and a special mixer..think it costs them about 25 quid a week to feed it..the dogs an absolute pain in the arse tbh,at worst a liability...
