  1. Thinking about introducing a Lurcher pup to the family, finally talked r lass round to the idea of a lurcher as opposed to a miniature long haired daschund (took some doing)

So just wondering if any of you lads bother insuring your dogs? and if so could you recommend a good company and roughly how much you are paying?

Obviously could pick up some injuries out on the field so has anyone got any first hand experience in dealing with their dogs insurance and the company wanting to know how it got injured etc?

Any info appreciated, Just trying to do my homework before i get a pup.

    Cheers Kieren.

  2. No fan or any noise, Just a small light on at the back where a USB cable enters. This light stays on until i press the on button and the light goes off. Almost as if pressing the on button drains all the power out of it so the light goes off?? Going to have to run it down to the local PC shop me thinks!

  3. Just sent in writing my application to have the open condition on my rifles.

Just wondered from other people's experience how long it is likely to take to get an answer?

And do they phone me or pay me a visit to let me know the decision? Or just post my new

Certificate through or my old one depending on their decision?

I am under South Yorkshire Police

    Thanks, Kieren.

  4. Been offered a T reg 2.0 Landrover Freelander xdi For £450

It's got 160k miles on the clock and tax and test until the end of the year.

The only problems with it are apparently the VCU unit or something is knackered, and also the anti roll bar bushes need replacing.

I've not really got any mechanical knowledge at all so is this going to be an expensive fix?

Just seems like a nice cheap 4x4 for shooting if I could get these problems sorted for cheap it would be worth it!

    Any help much appreciated!

    Thanks, Kieren.

  5. Well time has come to sell my Rizzini E. sideplate 12g 28" Barrels. The gun is in excellent condition, Couple of small nicks on the stock which is to be expected but they are only cosmetic and only very minor! Barrels are spot on, no pitting or anything like that, The bores are smooth and spotless. The gun depicts a nice engraving of a game scene on the side and has a nice quality polished wood finish.

I have owned this gun for about 4 years now, I hardly ever used it as i mostly shoot the rifle. However with me wanting to get into clay Pigeon shooting recently i decided for peace of mind and performance to get it serviced and have new firing pins. i took it to Swillington Shooting Supplies for brand new firing pins putting in and the service (Receipts to prove dated 10/10/2013 when i collected the gun.) The gun has not fired a cartridge since the works been done. I would happily keep the gun but whilst the gun was in repair i went to the Midland Game fair and with a rush of blood bought myself a New Lanber Sporter so having now got this back it is surplus to requirements.

These guns are very solid and reliable and with having the new firing pins put in should shoot for many years. Perfect for game shooting, pigeon shooting and claying as it comes with all the chokes and the choke key.

For any more pictures or information either PM me on here and i will send you my number.

I am located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S72

    £450

    Thanks, Kieren.

  6. Got a permission where it's all Grass pasture. About 100 acres of grassland where the farmer runs some cows. It is surrounded by woodland and has the odd stubble field on the neighbouring farm but I do not have permission on there. I always see good pigeon numbers flying over the land but they mostly stick to the stubble fields.

Do you think it's worth a shot decoying on my

Grassland as close as I can get to these stubble fields? The grass is only short and I only have a dozen or so shell decoys. Will the pigeons come in for a look or is it only really worth doing on arable fields? Thanks for any help given. Kieren.
