  1. Have to agree with u it’s one of my pet hates
  2. Something a little bit different that a mate offered me so worth a try. Bitch is mine and the dogs my mates. Just of the courier from Wales
  3. Be hard to get a coursing bitch this time of year anything that’s left there keeping for next year and also I wouldn’t get a chance to work it till next season. If it’s no good I’ve to try again and again till I get one. Atleast this way I’ve got access to a very good foxhound bitch and found the stud dog that suits my needs and I’ve a 3/4 lurcher to fall back on if all else fails
  4. Anyone that’s getting any are thinking the same as me it’s an interesting cross that could be anything from world beaters to not worth kennel space. It’s not just an idea that’s came into my head over night I’ve been thinking about it for years so I said I’d finally try it. Hopefully it will turn out a good gamble
  5. I will for sure. I’m surprised with the interest in these there 8 pups spoken for if it all goes well. All will be going to friends or friends of friends for free so I will hear how everyone of them turn out good or bad. Most want them as lamping dogs but one mate runs a few begal terrier crosses and he wants one to run with them so will be interesting
  6. After a bit of searching I’ve found a coursing greyhound 85 pound weight to line the bitch. I struck lucky with the second person I asked. A shooting man I head down to a couple of times a season to work my terriers on his permission. The dog has only been lightly worked before he started coursing but has had teeth and it didn’t faze him at all.
  7. I’ve no pictures of her she’s about 26 inches and her brother is 27 or that both big athletic hounds. She’s good to mark and not afraid of the sharp end from what Ive seen but there has always been other hounds around her so all I can do is hope for the best it all clicks.
  8. He will be hunting bags of dog food for the summer ?
  9. Well yet to see a very good deerhound. My uncle chased them for years and all his trying failed to find what he wanted. 99% of deerhounds are just kept for shows these days and haven’t seen any real work. Pity to say that but it’s the truth. And as for Saluki I don’t rate them as a good teeth dog and to tell the truth I hate them.simple as. Greyhound is my first choice but finding one that will graft is the problem and I’ll stay looking for one. I’m trying to keep my options open and not just be looking in one direction. I’m breeding a dog that will do me for the next 10 years so I want to do
  10. I’ve a bull greyhound in mind but I’m not set in stone I’m going to look for exactly what I want and see what comes of it. I’m not going to rush in and just breed for the sake of it so I’ll keep my options well and truely open
  11. As I’m struggling to find a greyhound doing a bit of graft this is my second option. I’m thinking of lining a foxhound bitch in the summer and I’m looking for a greyhound or a heavily greyhound blooded lurcher must be doing teeth. Something over 27/28 inches with no (Saluki or deerhound blood) preferably as I’m trying to keep the size up. Just putting the feelers out to see what’s about I’ve no problem paying for the right stud or give a pup or 2 back
  12. Completely the opposite than what I’m looking for I’m looking for a big powerful dog. And I hate salukis ??
  13. If they do speak my mate said he would chance one to run with his little bobby pack
  14. ?be grand only for that Saluki blood ??
  15. Was her mother or father the greyhound
  16. I no ya I was just hoping someone might have one somewhere. If all else fails ill use a heavily greyhound blooded lurcher
  17. Thanks mate that’s a great offer. I can get the use of a coursing dogs of my mate I was just hoping there might be someone one grafting one
  18. Just wondering is there anyone working any coursing greyhounds in Ireland. Looking to use one on a bitch in the future just weighing up my options.
  19. I’ve no shortage of space and dogs foods free so if it doesn’t work all it will cost me is my time
  20. I’m think the same I’d rather an all round lurcher than a one trick pony and I think these could have it all.
  21. I reckon you would have a second to no mooching dogs. Hopefully marking will come first hand to them. A great knows good feet and bone in them. And more than capable of doing big game
